Brief mention is made on the Nephilim in the bible. Not much beyond a few words. Further research indicated that these Nephilim's were the first physical manifestation on earth, of the energy spirits from the spirit realm. Supposedly these souls took residence in animals, birds, and humans leading to Gods regret about his creations. This was as I understood it, the beginning of the many tales of half human and half plant, animal, and bird myths. A number of books covered the mythology of it, but were the Nephilim the source of the tales! Is there a hidden meaning to this,just not understood!

In the Hebrew, the Nephilim are literally called "sons of God" which is a Hebrew idiom for angels. I don't know about them becoming involved with with plants and "lower orders of creation" but in the story they mate with human women and spawn this race of giants. It's a weird story -- one you don't find in a lot of Sunday School literature! It seems to be used by the biblical editors to show just how far God's plan for creation got messed up. First, human sin keeps getting worse (Genesis 3-5), then this breech of created orders (human and angel intermingling). Beyond that, I'm not sure what interpretations are read in to the story.

Hi All, Just came across this: Any Hebrew Lexicon, (dictionary) will show the meaning of the word "nphiyl, or nphil" is: properly, a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant. It is generally referred to from the verse, Genesis 6:4, "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." The word nphiyl is the Hebrew word translated into "giants". For this research paper we will use the common word Nephilim. The first part of this verse is a pronouncement that beings called "giants" were on the Earth, while the second part explains how they came into existence; by the mating of angels with women. The first time I heard of the Nephilim was in a theory conspiracy thing. The annunaki, Sumerian for (from the heavens to earth) or (From the sky to earth) or what some believe to be (extra terrestial) came down and mated with humans. There off spring were said to be the Nephilim (Giants). There are pictures of giant skeletons that were dug up from Iraq.
I do not know if any of this is true but what some people believe. But I do believe it is likely, or at least more likely then Angels mating with people. From what I understand angels are elementals of the highest order. We have them near but we can't touch them. They are divine, never incarnated, and not under the control of hormones as life & extra terrestials would be. I hope this helps

Our higher selves are Angles the only difference is that Angles never reincarnated. Isn't Lucifer "Pride" the fallen angle because of the Ego. If we never fallen then why are we at the Universe's Edge? Yes, Wave, I have 'heard' this. Just always curious as to ones views. People are interesting that's all. Whether I agree with them or not. Dear Louis, Given the choice, to be a fallen angel or a special creation for Source to express in and at the same time be one with that soul, I choose the latter. I might be in for a surprise, but I think not. One thing I do know, during my journey in toward home and Source I will become more and more enlightened. I am of the same stuff that Source is. I will never know all that Source does, but that is good news. I will never be bored because I know it all. There will be enlightenment forever. Larry
