Just out of curiosity, I'm interested in what you all have as a career/day job, employment, etc.

Since I began this thread, I'll start with myself.
I have 2 part time jobs
I'm a forklift operator at UPS and a sales associate in Jcpenney's shoe department.

Anyone else?

Trying to think of possible things for me to do job wise - food isn't free but I'd like to atleast enjoy the way I earn it.

I'm part-time MediaManager at a post-production company, mostly tv-show related. Aside from that I teach guitar at home.

Hey Gretch, I play guitar . Style wise i love thrash metal and am in a band called 8 foot sativa. But I also love classical and play in restuarants etc as well. Went to guitar school in London. The band has opened for Pantera, Disturbed, Korn , mototrhead, Metallica here in NZ. But my Passion is Bach and the Baroque period . Plus Jazz fusion to. I love it all except cheesy pop stuff lol  , plus Steve Vai and so on How bout you. What is your style what kind of guitars do you have. You got any recordings etc. I also noticed that Awakened soul plays to ! Small world. Keen to hear your playing . Gary

Sativa,

I actually play drums, not guitar.  However, my good friend plays guitar with me and he has a 1960's silvertone, gibson les paul, and a danelectro 7-string.  They're really nice.  I myself have a vintage 1965 Slingerland 4 peice kit and a Gretch catalina club.

I love classical as well.  Baroque, classical, and romantic perods are my favorites.  I also thoroughly enjoy jazz/swing/big band, 50's-60's-70's rock, and oldies as well.  Also, I really like folk music (cat power, feist, etc), a band called Morphine; instrumental bands like Explosions in the sky, Godspeed you black emporer, Papa M, Tortoise, etc.

yeah, I don't care for pop music either.  Sorry but I don't share your love for metal either although I can appreciate it.

We are wanting to get some recording equipment so when we do I'll let you hear it for sure.
