Weird Experience When Attempting Astral Projection For The First Time

Last night I attempted Astral Projection for the first time.  As soon as it was starting to seem like I was going into a trance state (I was seeing colors and white swirls and such)something bizarre happened and brought me out of my trance state before I was able to proceed any further.  At the same time that I was sensing that I was going into a trance state, I heard a loud noise like glass breaking.  This was quite loud and caught my attention. I got up out of bed and walked towards where the sound came from (my bathroom). 

Anyway what I found there was one of the lightbulbs in my bathroom had exploded and glass was everywhere.  The weird thing is, my lights were all off and there should of been no electricity current or heat to this bulb or any of the bulbs for that matter.  The lights had been off for a good 30 to 45 minutes, so in no way should it have been hot or anything like that.  When I was trying to project, I was focusing on talking with my deceased Aunt June. 

I in no way think this was related to my Aunt June, but I had also earlier this same day found out on the news that someone who I knew their family had been killed this past weekend or earlier that day over a Yankee/Redsox dispute.  The Yankee fan killed this guy for saying the Yankees Stink.  My gut feeling with the lightbulb exploding was that somehow the guy who had been killed earlier that day was making himself known or trying to somehow contact me. I'm not 100% sure that this was the case, but something told me it was and that I should wait to attempt Astral Projection. 

I was not really scared, but startled with all of this and something in the experience did not seem right, therefore my instinct was to try Astral Projection another night.  I have nothing against helping a spirit at all.  I just do not feel like I am ready to this this until I am more experienced in Astral Projection and OBE.

I guess what I really wonder is were these incidents and the experience somehow related as I feel they somehow are?

I attempted to Project a lot of times. Nothing like this ever happened to me. I never have been able to project at all. The closest I've ever got was when I was reading this book with Energy techniques in it. I used the techniques to get my energy body charged up & that night I guess every hour I woke up with these intense vibrations. Every time I became aware of these vibrations they faded away and I became more awake. Before I knew it, it was early morning so I turned over and told my self that I am just going to go to sleep and not try to astral project. I felt these vibrations like at least 7 times that night. After I told myself I'm not going to try it anymore I stopped waking up to them. I just told myself if I have to go out of my body just do it naturally without me knowing because its to early.

If the light bulb bursting is that guy then he is rude. Nice spirits wouldn't focus on braking things. It could maybe be your own kinetic energy that broke it but then why didn't something in your bed room break instead. I don't think that electricity or heat could have broke it because its used to those.

Also remember to keep your first astral projections short, no longer then 1 minute. The reason for this "a book said" is that when your projected double is out it has its own memory. If you stay out to long the energy could fade and it will fall asleep just like your body falls asleep. If this happens the shadow memories of the double wont be recorded into your brain. Think about this, what if you astral projected but your brain didn't think you did. Your projected double could have broke the light bulb and you just don't remember.

Well,I really do not think I had yet Astral Projected, but was just about to when the lightbulb exploded and broke all over the bathroom.  The bathroom is right next to my bedroom.  I do suppose the bulb breaking could have possibly been from my own kinetic energy like you said, but why then like you said did the bulb break in the bathroom rather then something break in my own room. Someone at work also thought that it could have been my own energy as well.

I have experiences when I am acclimating to new energy's within where I do effect electric bulbs, they burn out often. Two weeks ago I replaced seven lights in my home that burned out. I had an electrician friend check all the sockets and circuit box, all was well.
We have tremendous energy's coursing through us, and when we begin to take command of them we are like children playing with a super computer that can effect our environment.
Often ' hauntings ' and poltergeist activity's are misunderstood and are originating from the people that feel they being haunted. Lights flickering, exploding, and burning out are common denominator's of such experiences.
The experiences you described are very highly emotional ones, and th energy in them are perhaps more powerful than you gave credit to, causing a surge as you attempted to project.

I was watching the Montel show with Silvia Brown on it. Some lady said that when she walks under a street light sometimes the street lights burn out. She thought it was a ghost. Silvia told her it was her own Kinetic energy and that shes going to be a healer.

I am starting to believe that I was the cause of the light bulb exploding, given that it happened right at the same time that I was starting to possibley AP.  It happened at the same time that I was seeing the white swirls and colors.  I will continue practing Astral Projection.  It is amazing the energy that we have within us and all around us.

Were you thinking about the bathroom at all during that time? I think that you maybe did project you just don't remember.

I do not know.  I would think that if I had I would have remembered.  This all took place within 30 minutes, so I do not think I had as of yet.  Like I said,  I had just started to.  I was thinking about my Aunts flower garden and her kitchen as well.  She had these really beautiful plate collection. I was thinking about her plate collection.

I am not sure about this but I was told from a guy who teaches others to project that people do astral project often on there first try, they just fail to "download" the memories. He says there are two sets of memories & the memory of laying in bed or what ever you were doing overrides the projection experience. It is also possible that your projection was blind & didn't mean to brake something.

You should do to the Astral Pulse Forms instead. They have a lot more projection related stuff there.

I believe Astral Pulse Forum was the first forum Adrian created a couple of years before he created Our Ultimate Reality Forum (in 2004?). Our Ultimate Reality Forum came to life when Adrian first offered the book by the same name to the public. Though some members participate in both forums, but the forums seem to attract different people, and different types of discussions.

Maybe Adrian will tell you more why two forums, as he is the creator of those forums...
