I came across this yesterday on the day before. It's about soy milk brands; beware which ones you buy! I've been buying WhiteWave's Silk Soymilk for a long while, but no more after this. "Silk, SoyDream, Pacific Natural Foods and Vitasoy all Rebuked in New Soy Scorecard Ratings" http://www.naturalnews.com/026294.html(NaturalNews) The Cornucopia Institute ( www.cornucopia.org) has just released a new report about organic soy products that's sending shockwaves through the soy industry. By compiling information on the sourcing of soybeans, the use of toxic chemicals for soy protein extraction, and the use or avoidance of genetically modified soybeans, the Cornucopia Institute has created an Organic Soy Scorecard that reveals which soy product companies are truly trustworthy vs. those that are not. "Soy Report and Scorecard" http://www.cornucopia.org/2009/05/soy-report-and-scorecard/The soy companies scorecard5-star rating Eden Foods - 100% of their soybeans are grown in the U.S. and Canada. Vermont Soy (Vermont) - 100% of soybeans also grown in U.S. and Canada (mostly in Vermont). Low-heat pasteurization helps preserve soybean nutrients. Small Planet Tofu (Washington) - Buys solely from American farmers. FarmSoy (Tennessee) - Real tofu made from soybeans bought from American farmers. TwinOats (Virginia) - Buys soybeans from an organic family farm in Virginia. Unisoya / Green Cuisine (Canada) - They grown their own organic soybeans on 400 acres. 4-star rating Organic Valley Great Eastern Sun Fresh Tofu Wildwood Tofu Shop 3-star rating Harris Teeter 2-star rating Trader Joe's - refused to disclose sourcing information 1-star rating Pacific Natural Foods - Buys soybeans from China and refused to disclose the name of the organic certifier in China. Refused to respond to questions about the certification of their "organic" soybeans. Cornucopia wonders whether Pacific Natural Foods is engaged in "a marketing gimmick" when it claims its products are "Certified to the Source." (Certified by who?) Vitasoy USA - Buys soybeans from China. Westsoy / SoyDream (both owned by Hain Celestial Group) - Refused to share sourcing information. Silk ( Dean Foods) - Refused to participate. Says the report: Since Dean Foods acquired WhiteWave, its founder, Steve Demos, has left the company, along with almost all of the pioneering management -- those who believed in "green" values. According to Demos, the company is now all about "green, with the dead presidents on it."

Sky thank you for this information.
We shouldn't drink any soy products but let me tell you what is wrong with Silk. I'll lay out every reason I got NOT to drink it or perhaps any soy milks. Dean Foods is now the leading milk and dairy producer in the United States. Dean food makes the silk products. Thanks to Monsanto I don't think you can even find soy beans that aren't Genetically Modified now. GMO's require MORE pesticides and herbicides NOT less. You want very little protein if any at all. Raw enzyme rich foods are a good substitution for protein in which isn't nearly as important as complex carbohydrates. Soy Beans must be cooked making them a nutrient deficient food. Silk soy milk and perhaps many others are fortified with nutrients. This means somebody is deciding what vitamins to put in the product and how much of each. Science is limited to only a very narrow range of known Vitamins and minerals. This simply means that there is in fact no Nutrient balance at all. Eating this way is counter productive to your health. You will never hear the food or vitamin industries admit that they don't know even half of the bio-chemicals found in healthy natural foods because then no one would buy there so called healthy products.
Bottom line is that you shouldn't buy things that are precooked, genetically modified, fortified, or take vitamins. Even if something is labeled organic you have to blindly trust the manufactures.

Honestly Dear Friends...
What we resist persists...
I have had two aunts who were the healthiest people in the world , only ate fruits and vege's ... never smoked a cigarette in their life... aside from being bible thumping christians whose whole worlds revolved around the belief that one could be miraculously healed, walk on scorpions...all that good stuff.
Boith died in their 50's from deadly diseases.
Personally... I haven't been to a doctor in 10 years...seriously! I have been maybe 3 times in 20 years..., and I am so far as healthy as a horse and could lift a house! lol...well, maybe...
I am not saying or proclaiming that I have the "key" to healing everything that ails you, or that if I ever get sick that I'm gonna know the perfect solution to beat physical death...
But I will say this... my daughter used to be a hypochondriac... she saw some movie as a child that made her think every little bodily thing meant something drastically wrong...she would say "I need to go to the doctor what if this is..., or...or ..."?
This sums up my belief about physicians... I trained her. I would always say "Korean, what is the intent of the physician"?
She would say like clockwork with a big roll of the eyes "To find something wrong dad"
That's right so If a physician can find nothing wrong, then what?
She would say (rolling the eyes again) "There's no reason for their existence".
That's right.
I dont think just anyone should be this way...it depends on how your mind assimilates what... the way the interstates connect... but for ME...I just dont entertain sickness in my awareness... if it ever befalls me at least I didn't die a thousand deaths worrying over it in the meantime. So far I can outwork any 20 year old I know.
In truth, while I once again dont advise this, unless your mind can assimilate it of course, PEOPLE EAT GLASS... they do! They eat glass and walk on fire... they do all kinds of things that dont fit into the "grey" area of being unhealthy, according to most peoples perception!
Dont tempt fate?
I am confident that 50% of it is in the food you eat... but even more confident that 90% is in your mind.
Just my two pence.
John
Ps. For me...beating the clock isn't as important as enjoying the time. Life is a experience not a destination.

Okay lets go.. Julia.
There is an epidemic going on. Young women are getting pregnant at eye opening rates. Younger then ever before and statistically higher then before. One group says, "Had out contraceptives" while another group says "Force Sexual Abstinence". However neither address the cause of the epidemic.
Why do people behave the way that they do? It's all Bio-chemistry. Before I get too deep in such a Materialist point of view I would like to state that the mind effects biochemistry. People can literally be horrified to death without ever being in danger. So why are young girls becoming pregnant and having sex earlier? Because they come into puberty earlier! There minds are not done maturing yet there bodies are. This leads to many health issues such as breast cancer for example. Now lets compare American Vegans and Asian Buddhist vegetarian nations to the Average American. If you know anyone raised Vegan or if you read the China Study then you would know that the true age of puberty is 17 to 18 years of age. There is a reason why 18 is considered adulthood. However our food has so many chemicals in it and most kids are eating a high meat diet that they are coming into puberty at 10, 11, 12 years of age! Human beings are a Bio-chemical reaction and if we are horny, hungry, thirsty, happy or depressed there is a chemical reason why.
Agriculture The problem begins here. The Government subsidies corn and wheat. That is too say that the Government pays farmers off in order to dictate what is grown and thus control what foods are convenient. Over 70% of the grains we grow in America is feed to live stock, mostly cows. An animal that should never be eating grains in the first place as there natural food is grass and green leafy vegetables. As a result we end up having more meat and dairy in our stores then we do fruits and Vegetables yet the food guide Pyramid suggests that you need less meat and dairy over Fruit and Vegetables. The point is that our children are eating MORE meat then any other generation before them. The Meat comes from animals that were pumped with Bobine Growth Hormones. Mono sodium Glutamate (MSG) a highly addictive neuron toxin is added to all of the meats so that children eat them! The result of this are horned up little girls and boys having sex without any prudent thoughts as too the consequences. The ONLY way you can solve a problem is by changing the cause of that problem. So it's not all about thoughts when what you eat effects the thoughts that you have.
Meat should not be commercialized as it is. If you want to eat meat Julia you should have to go out and kill the animal yourself!

Good Morning Beloved Louis, I genuinely appreciate you sharing all the things that you do. So, okay let's go Brother ... holding hands in Love is my genuine Intention here. When we see things we don't like what is happening? We are straining against the grain, the flow. We are pushing against something. Our thoughts are feeding our emotional state so that no matter how many fruits and veges we eat, it is not producing the Health and Well-Being we are looking to manifest. I am not disagreeing with what you share here about the diet of many at all. What I am sharing is that no amount of 'trying' to fix it on the biological level seems to be 'working'. We are banging our heads agains a wall. Obviously something is missing in this equation and it doesn't take a certified, phd scientist to understand this. We now have all this information openly available to the World, I happened to be at my friend's the other day and glanced at the tv right when they were stating that pot smoking is at an all time high. no pun intended here. Yet, we say that we are far more enlightened than ever. You yourself are bringing up seeing that young girls are reaching puberty at a much younger age. Something is being said to all of us and yet, we just keep on doing what we keep on doing. The issue as I see it is not the Agriculture or foods so much, it is the way the world is thinking right now. And we can see a lot of what would or could be defined as 'wrong' thinking. Yes? It is the people who are acting on their thoughts with feeling. When we get to the Real Issue then we will see dynamic change and having these discussions will not even be necessary. Why? When we Right our thinking then everything falls into place. As our feeling of Rightful thinking brings Peace and Well-Being. Young girls who have children at an early age are looking for someone or something to Love, yet due to their immaturity they do not understand the Full responsibility of what it takes to bring a life forward and nurture and care for it. Why? Because they have not yet understood how to Love themself. They are not fully equipped to take care of themself as you can see by their age, they still live with mom and dad or a parent. As one having had this experience of being the mother of two girls, one who did get pregnant at age 15, I will say that I lived what I believed by not going out and modeling to my girls that Love was found between ones legs. Pardon me All. Yet through this experience, I realized that my children had Minds of their own and reach a certain point where they do not listen to parent, they switch and listen to peers. There is a deeper Spiritual Essence in what I share Louis. In a seed or nutshell ~ Peers = Equal Ideas Parent = Higher Ideals When we tap into the Innate Parent Guide within us is when we make Right choices for our Self and this relates to what surfaces above. How can any of us force another to comply with what we think is Right for our Self? Honest, Brother, no one can make you be any other way than how you really view yourself and this is based on your thoughts fueling your emotions. And being vegan, omnivorian or gay or straight is not the Real Issue here. This is what keeps us trapped in this conundrum. Why? It's doing something over and over again and 'hoping' to get a different result. We can see how well this has worked yes? So, get the Real Relationship with your Self down and this will alter the way you live your life. What I see that is being asked for in all the seemingly strange behaviours we see is guidance. Like sheep without a shepherd. It does not come from ones telling another so much that what they are doing is 'wrong', it comes from one taking the time to example what Love and Acceptance is no matter how 'poorly' it is being done in the moment. True Love does not see any offense nor comes from a position of defense. I see no reason to attack another for the way they eat. Because again this for me, not necessarily you or any other here, is what keeps us entangled in the dualistic view of life. Get free of it. How? By Being still within and knowing what feels good for YOU not so and so and Live from this feeling. You will change your world because it is really You who have changed. It matters not to me if one eats meat Louis if their Heart vibration is feeling Joy then what business is it of mine to say ~ You can't do that, it doesn't feel right for me. Hmm ... sounds like I am getting my priorities out of order here. You yourself know the sting of rejection Louis by being gay. I am not saying this to attack you at all and i Trust you feel this from me. I don't care that you are, that is not why I have Love for you at all. seeing beyond the temporary forms and seeing into the Perfect Expression of Love that you are. We are being asked to look deeper by all the things we see going on all around us. See with Real Eyes. I can live Peacefully when I Am Trusting this, Much Much Love my Beloved Brother, Julia

Dear Louis and Julia,
I see here we are still discussing food choices.
A question: when you are done, can we eat then? And I mean not as in everybody going their own way and eating whatever. Let's get together and put on the table only that which agrees with the common taste. I like mangoes for instance but if you don't I am ready to go with something else that you may also like. Blueberries? (just as an example)
...going shopping now okay? please update my list
much love your way

Posting this quote more worth-it than the one I had typed up and repeatedly edited (for those who saw/read it) within the past 30 minutes. Meh, I'll throw in the old beneath it. I hope this analogy helps you see that a loose hierarchy can exist with each 'level' affecting the next, And yet each level is independent in a way, not specifically tied to the whims of the levels above and below it.
Hopefully you can work through the issue of the over soul being timeless yet not allowing you to become aware of your own future. Individual clothes (incarnations) can encounter others though a different the amount of wear and tear (lifetime) has past for each. Good analogy.
I am not sure about the 'allowing' though. I don't imagine that it is a matter of allowance, being merely a matter of timeliness. Like, a person cannot eat everything they are going to require as sustainance for a lifetime in one meal. It not being a matter of allowance, but rather a matter of 'as it is'.
"Soul" is a good word, I use it, we all use it, yet it fails to explain the ultimate or absolute. so we go digging for more words, and before you know we have a multitude of words depicting the gradation and/or degradation of 'as it is'.
Thus, we all fall to analogous speak, saying, "well...its like....".
we certainly are independent in any particular incarnation/level, yet bound multi-directionally to the fullness of 'as it is'.
I personally would hesitate to say "whims", as everything happens for a reason, even if that reason is subconsciously deeper than one's conscious awareness. ergo, whims or fancy or loose cannot depict the more serious reasoning with which we all endure consequential choices, either specific choices or choices determined in the fullness.
Using such excusing terms excuses the person from reaching inward and touching 'reason' or cause.
And I would add, that the more one works through the less that it may work through them. This being a matter of letting go.
Recently I watched a little diddy on the tv, where two guys jumped off a high summit in their winged suits, and they flew for miles, gliding in, on and through the various layers of tempered air. Each had a camera afixed to them and they took clear video footage of their rather fast flight through the valley. They moved like birds going in any direction they chose to go, flying upside down...etc. afterward in the interview they were asked how they turned and moved so freely, and their reply was simple, saying that they felt to move and the body made it so, no thought was required to make it happen, just pure unadulterated nerve. to add, they popped their parachutes in the end of the flight right before the ground approached.
My point is, that we each and all have within ourselves infinite abilities, these requiring absolutely no thought. in fact, the more though given to an achieved ability the less it is apt to arrive.
look at society, particularly sports and aviation. when one person breaks a certain thought construct that has held mankind at bay for some time, it is like an explosion of freedom toward the next obstacle wherein once again man seizes upon the new record choking it with thought.
it is only in these moments released from though constructions that freedom takes wing. yet, gravity seems inescapable, gravity being much like that of thoughts constructing toward once again being grounded from flight.
this whole mass of thought that we each invest toward exhaustion of our true self, toward "what i will become" is the very gravity, the burden holding any and each back. when in fact of the matter, the human is by nature infinitely able as the perfect blend of all which is attributable to fulness, regardless of level, incarnation, listed terms failing to depict, etc.
terms fail, like first, second or third...etc. the whole point of focalization is to remember one's self as one. how, by letting go of that hunger which would consume in one meal everything which would sustain a lifetime. there is no need to know it all, or to know any single thing about one's self.
one is already become, as it is, they are right here right now. don't we all get so exhausted at these stodgy equations of puffery that constantly claim to 'get it'.
My Brother, it ever has begotten you, me, all of us. in that we may rejoice, be our blessed selves and thoughtlessly move in that fullness and freedom.
I look back at the years that I personally sought out a few, ran into a few more, thinking that this one or that one has an/the answer. well, I found only one thing in them all, they were human just like me, and everyone of them was thought bound with broken wings, they too did not get it, even as they churned out melodious words and terms toward choking the life out of each one that sought them out.
If i had a dime for every self proclaimed shaman/magus/melchiwhatever/warlock/witch...ad infinitum that i have run across, well I'd be a wealthier man to be sure. just pure adulterated goddamned madness is what it is. and i dont say that in anger, merely trying to reveal in words the self-appropriated bs that it takes to uphold such a thought construct that is such a claim.
so, i agree with your clothes analogy, but i say as well, let go and be naked of such clothed disguise. do this for yourself and you do it for others.
it is quite alright just to be who one is right here right now. not one molecule of water in a river can jump ahead of its placement. yet that one molecule a thousand miles from the ocean is no different from the molecule that is spilling into the ocean a thousand miles ahead.
the one thing all the molecules of water in the river have in common is the current streaming toward the ocean, being the river, for it has long ago cut its winding course, and need not one molecule to ask why, or what, or who, or when, or where, or how.
water clings, and defies all laws. siphon water through a hose, once the water climbs and spills downward it is a done deal, for all of it by clinging climbs toward spilling.
be the river and try not to dam it up with obstructing thought constructs that lodge one as if they are a beaver.
stop the madness!
who gives a whackadoodle who another thinks that they are, let's all just be.
the only gift is you, right here right now. so sorry for you if it's not enough, if it's not what you thought you wanted, if it's an embarrassment, if it's limited by your hunger to eat it all up in one gulp.
ambition is an addiction like any other, and it as an addiction has exponentially killed more people than any other addiction, or all them put together could hope to.
it is not who I say that I am, it is who any other closely says that I am. in that, to be sure, are the true feelings that deliver the nerve to thoughtlessly fly.
don't touch the "I", let it go, let others closely relate the "I", see it, not getting it, through the eyes of another. don't deny that vision, feel it, and move with it, if you have the nerve to.
TAs mentioned (1 2 3), I am this categorized thingy. /is optional for me; wish I could say the same for everyone else, for that would be quite neat. Unfortunately Earth's owners don't want humanity to have freedom of choice on eating since that goes against their best interests... I am not "perfect" or close to such a thing on this subject and have numerous issues restraining me. If hunger disappeared for all of you it probably wouldn't be an issue anymore to continue eating or not eat (you would all no doubt just drop it and that would be the end of it), yet I seem to have elected going through every "food"-related issue imaginable, from overeating to addiction testing to using "taste" as a lasting excuse to put this [insert heavily biased adjective against "food" here] into my body. If it were so easy to "let go", I would have moved on already, yes? I may turn my nose up against it (non-vegan items) and face muscles will twitch in disgust when I smell something particularly powerful (namely meat; I work in a grocery store so it's a very frequent daily-work occurrence), but avoid judging as much as possible (impassive stare and silent mind) so as to avoid being judged myself. Oy, I see no reason to attack another for the way they eat. Because again this for me, not necessarily you or any other here, is what keeps us entangled in the dualistic view of life. Get free of it. How? By Being still within and knowing what feels good for YOU not so and so and Live from this feeling. You will change your world because it is really You who have changed. It matters not to me if one eats meat Louis if their Heart vibration is feeling Joy then what business is it of mine to say ~ to each their own and all that. One should not persecute others for what they eat unless they themselves would like to be persecuted. I am very biased on this subject for my own reasons and only explain my own experiences and positions on them while avoiding telling others what to do (if I recognize it happening -- if not, please point it out to me). These are just my views and experiences, and while they are true for me they are not so for [any of] you. As has been said so many times, everyone is exactly at the developmental point / stage / state of Being where they belong... On the plus side, for those Beings in existence who hail from places where "food" is unheard of and want to see what it's about, being on Earth now has never been a better time for diving headfirst into it, with more things to taste than one could in an entire lifetime spent only doing eating and nothing else. 30 minutes in any 10+ aisle grocery store will reveal how much is available for the taste buds to go apeshit over. I ate half a standard-fare cheese pizza early last week and one day later for the first time in 2.5 years my Avatar became sick. Ego that I am I (Higher) am allowing to keep getting in the way. I (the silent part of me I recognize as the Observer Self) watch it run around in circles, always looking for excuses because it's scared shitless out of its mind (I journal all the reasons hissed at me)... Amusing. My Gemisphere necklaces Quartz and Bloodstone did not have any effect on the ailment whatsoever, as if they had been turned off. The 10-or-so days prior to volunteering to eat it I was in a state of Elation (just Being, no Doing) at how a completely empty / clean digestive system was having on my psyche, Awareness, and overall state of Being; that "high" was matched by the succeeding "miserable" "low". What the hell am I fighting here? (As well, what are any of you fighting with regard to yourself?) My case is apparently not about doing something new, because the Knowledge gained from Experience consistently and constantly proves that the very act of eating is no longer working for me in any way, shape, or form -- absolutely anything eaten (even the furthermost state of raw veganism) is clearly noticed to have all-detrimental effects, ranging from basic pain to deadened energy level and Awareness. Fascinatingly, ego keeps digging in its heels and saying: "Just a little more." "One more time and then over." "I'm finished after this." " Maybe I'll have a little bite." "Let me try tasting this." "Oooh can I have a taste?" "I made (cooked) it so I must try it." etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum. Hardcore druggie. Coke addicts must go through the same excuses. And being vegan, omnivorian or gay or straight is not the Real Issue here. This is what keeps us trapped in this conundrum. Why? It's doing something over and over again and 'hoping' to get a different result. We can see how well this has worked yes? /nod. I like mangoes for instance but if you don't I am ready to go with something else that you may also like. Blueberries? (just as an example) o_o Mangoes seconded. Mango drinks / smoothies / shakes taste good. What about pineapple? o_O Apples are fun too, but don't like how the bits get stuck between the teeth. Almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts? Cajun snack mixes? My taste buds like pineapple (wet or dried), cereals (Cinnamon Toast Crunch ftw), vegan spaghetti (volunteered for it tonight), sugar (/biasedly call it the "White Toxin"), Xylitol (sugar alternative), vegan burritos / fajitas / enchiladas, vegan ice creams, Chinese vegetable lo mein, to name a few.
