yes, what you are saying sounds quite familiar. Thank you for sharing too. You seem to be an open type of person and perhaps are seeking some confirmation of your experiences. Trying to tie the pieces together. Well they say: seek and you will find and whilst I'm sure of that, sometimes I wonder. On another discussion board I used to have a signature: I have found what I was looking for....me! And I think I actually did...now what to do with it..me is so big...and yet fits into a tiny atom.

A couple of years ago I did Vipissanna meditation and that helped me a lot. 10 days on end   from 4 am till 9pm (and some rests in between)  no talking, no eye contact, no coffee or alcohol or  music, 2 vegetarian meals a day. It was very difficult for me to meditate not least because my back did hurt quite badly but it sure shut down the "noise" and helped me to tame the wild thoughts that were running everywhere.
Yes, I think it all will be for the better because the urge to find out comes from inside of us and that's where it all is at. What country did you move to? I live in Australia, moved there from Holland.

Hi Gerry,

I was born in Ireland and moved to England about 32 years ago.  But now that my family have grown up I just had the need to come home. Not such a big move as you though.
