Hitler was Cristian, if he was a Buddhist he wouldn't think he was better then others. As far as wanted to kill off a large Ethic group that wasn't blue eyed, China has the largest. He first killed because people were not Christan then killed because of a book that said the next great race would be blue eyed. The book and a cult around that book was older then Hitler.

If I am right or if I am wrong it doesn't matter, these things are what Judgmental Christians DO! Perhaps no one really knows what happened in History.

I would hardly call Hitler and Nazis Christians. The Bible teachers to love your neighbour as you love yourself. If people choose to disregard this teaching and hate and kill others instead, that is not the fault of the Bible.

There had been enough internal strife with all sort of warrior groups even in Buddhists countries. This is not the result of the Buddist teachings, but of the peoples' Ego.

Perhaps you are right. My point is simple. No Christians become Enlightened. They are not ready for 2012. The teachings of Jesus fall on deaf ear. I am not Angry or at least I see now that I shouldn't be. People CHOOSE parts of the bible that they like & ignore parts they don't. What ever people want to believe they can find Justice for it in the bible. Even if people are not as wise as I am, I shouldn't care. Who am I to say that someone should know this or know that. I am fine with it. I will leave these old treasures for someone who cares. By the way I am more of a Taoist.

This statement is not correct. There were many Christian saints that performed miracles.

I also disagree that people only take some teachings from the Bible and disregard the others. The Bible does not teach to be judgmental (as you stated earlier in this discussion thread), quite the opposite. It is not for people to judge. That prerogative is only God’s. And “judgment” might be a concept that we simply do not entirely understand. The Great Flood was a judgment of sorts, but it was only a natural disaster. The humans are supposedly “purifed” through such cleansing disasters. Is this therefore judgmental? I would not claim so.

The Old Testament is also a historical document and chronicles various ancient wars. Such parts of the Bible should be properly understood as historical documents and not as the teachings of God, which they are not.

I understand where you are coming from Melody, however my point is that even though there are books of the Bible that are "Enlightening" there are other books in the bible that teach the opposite of those books as being "OK". In any case I am not a Christian, I never intend on telling others what to believe, & I just don't care about the Bible. Good night!
