Fair is fair, but some things when overdone or misapplied, is simply wrong. When any group of humans are castigated by casuistry as may be the case with homosexuality in the bible. That word, was to my awareness, starting to cropping up around the year 1800. Again, to my awareness no bible used the word homosexual in any verses. In the year 1946 the H word started up as though it was god inspired. That is wrong. The confusion seems to arrive from the word " arsenokoitai ", being translated or mistranslated in error due to the meanings that could apply. I have no difficulty in understanding that confusing intranslation of a word can take place. What is to my way of thinking, grossly unfair, is to have religious leaders of any sort, beating people over the head with a bible so to speak, about their sexual orientation, based on a possible misinterpretation. Where is the love and compassion they otherwise preach on!
So the word ARSENOKOITAI needs to be reevaluated for humane application I believe.
If one is seeking Truth, and understanding through the bible, this needs to be part of it.
Did post thoughts on homosexuality on my blog " Nothing But The Truth", and some here on the forum, on a "gay Jesus" My point in posting my thoughts were, "so what if Jesus was gay". Ones sexual orientation is not what determines the validity and truth of the spoken word.
I have no axe to grind, don't care about your sexual orientation, am unconcerned what religion you belong to, or what your beliefs are. I am concerned if what ones does, causes harm to another.
