As the introductory note on the nonprofit website of The Disclosure Project reads:

The Disclosure Project is a nonprofit research project working to fully disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems. Regarding this National Press Conference, the following quote is from the internet videocast page of The Disclosure Project website:

Washington, DC - Almost one year ago on April 24, 2006 the Paradigm Clock, which tracks proximity to a formal acknowledgement of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race, was reset to 11:59:45 - 15 seconds to midnight. Such an acknowledgement is referred to as Disclosure and would mark the end of a 60 year truth embargo imposed by federal authorities. The explanation for resetting the time included this statement:

• March 2007 - Former Arizona governor, Fife Symington, revealed in an interview with journalist and investigative director for the Coalition for Freedom of Information, Leslie Kean, he had see a massive black triangular fly overhead early in the evening of March 17, 1997 - the first Phoenix Lights event. Symington told CNN, “The lights were really brilliant. And it was just fascinating. I mean, it was enormous. It just felt otherworldly. You know, in your gut, you could just tell it was otherworldly.”

• March 2007 - The French national space agency, CNES, placed 1600 previously classified UFO sighting reports into the public domain on the Internet.

• November 2006 - A significant sighting took place at O'Hare Airport in Chicago and received worldwide attention and media coverage.

• September 2005 - Former Apollo astronaut, Dr. Brian O'Leary, wrote in a foreword to Hidden Truth, Forbidden Knowledge, "These revelations underscore a long, sordid history of governmental and media secrecy and the acquisition of technologies such as microelectronics, anti-gravity propulsion and zero-point, or "free" energy, from our visitors. This massive cover-up has been going on for almost six decades since the UFO crash near Roswell, New Mexico in July 1947, an event which was certainly not caused by balloons, as alleged by the U.S. Air force. • September 2005 - Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defence Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson and deputy prime minister under Pierre Trudeau, publicly stated, "UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head."

• May 2005 - The Brazilian Air Force (FAB), almost certainly with the approval of Minister of Defense and Vice President, José Alencar, entered into an agreement with civilian researchers to release information and jointly investigate UFO incidents

• July 2004 - Governor of New Mexico and current presidential candidate, Bill Richardson, wrote in the foreword to The Roswell Dig Diaries, "It would help everyone if the U.S. government disclosed everything it knows. With full disclosure and our best scientific investigation, we should be able to find out what happened on that fateful day in July of 1947. The American people can handle the truth no matter how bizarre or mundane, and contrary to what you see in the movies."


• July 2004 - Producer, director, writer and actor Dan Aykroyd became the first A-list celebrity to allow his or her name and image to be used to support extraterrestrial-related phenomena research. He endorsed and agreed to be a spokesperson for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

• May 2004 - The Department of Defense of Mexico, with the approval of Mexican Secretary of Defense, General Clemente Vega Garcia (and almost certainly Mexican President Vicente Fox), held an international press conference at the Hotel Sevilla Palace in Mexico City. The Department of Defense released air surveillance evidence of an unusual sighting to a civilian research team and confirmed a joint investigative effort.

• 2004-2007 - The United Kingdom conducted a series of releases of documents pertaining to classified UFO sighting reports and UK government studies.

The U.S. Congress, news media and the American people must prepare for the possibility that an event of sufficient magnitude to trigger formal Disclosure could take place at any time. I have watched the long video of the Press Conference and I am quite perplexed why the UFO phenomena and the information about them are hidden from the general public. I don’t believe the argument that “people would be frightened if they were told about it.” This is just an excuse to hide some other motives.

I find it incomprehensible that even the President of the United States could be denied an access to the information about UFOs, and has absolutely no power to enforce it. Equally amazing is the Vatican’s secrecy on the subject, and their refusal to grant an access to the material in their collection.

From my perspective, it seems that the approach of Disclosure/CSETI continues to be to reach as many people as they can. The Congressional hearings unfortunately never happened, so it appears the Congress wants no involvement with respect to the entire ET/UFO subject matter. If ever there was a time for a response, it would have been after that 2001 national press conference. But then, the mainstream media, elected officials, and others with the capability, often appear unwilling to pursue further investigation in this subject area.

An example, the Phoenix Lights came and went in '97. Since then a book appeared, and a video, then came the 10th anniversary. What happened in between, and what now? Where is the call to action from the media, elected officials, and the masses? It is, unfortunately, symptomatic for these things to fade rapidly from the public view. Why is that? That's the big question, and those in the field of ufology have their theories/opinions on why this happens. There is an excellent analysis of this very question in Dr. Greer's latest book Hidden Truth Forbidden Knowledge. In a nutshell, he describes highly compartmentalized covert groups, a 'shadow' government if you will, whose superiors keep this information from the public. For a full and complete description, how the Disclosure Project became aware, and their analysis of the reasons 'why' this is occuring, I'd invite you to read the book. There is simply too much information for me to set forth here.

Since Congress has not acted on that national press conference, at present, the book(s), seminars/training, and lecture/talks is the current method being used by the Disclosure/CSETI folks to get the word out. The latest interview of Dr. Greer that I've come across, is from April 11, 2007 by an internet based radio show. Lastly, regarding crashes of ET spacecraft, there are several explanations that I've read about. To begin, there were the crashes at Aztec, Corona, and the Roswell areas here in New Mexico. I've read that these craft were impacted by military grade radar. We have a number of military sites here in New Mexico, and each of these crashes were in close proximity. Further, indepth coverage of this can be found in various books on Roswell, etc. notably by authors such as nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, and Col. Phillip Corso.

Also, the scientific, intelligence, government, and military witnesses that have come forth with disclosure, have put forth the theory that there has been 'reverse' or 'back-engineering' of the ET spacecraft which has enabled use of highly technological weapons against ET craft. Thank you for the information above. I find it amazing that the press is not interested in this subject to a larger extend. They probably fear to be ridiculed, or are disallowed to publish on this subject by their bosses who are afraid that the entire newspaper or magazine could be discredited.
I am questioning why the UFOs took so long to figure out how to avoid or protect themselves against military radars. I will try to get the Dr. Greer book you suggested.
