Tarot - the origin of our religion?

In these two interviews Michael Tsarion talks about the origins of ancient religions, and the empowering yourself through the ancient wisdom, and Tarot.


He claims that the ancient people believed they lived inside the God’s or rather Goddess’ body. This is why they had the highest respect for everything that surrounded them, and this is why they lived in harmony with Nature. The modern man has now lost this perception that nature is sacred and that it should not be used and misused for one’s financial and egotistical needs.

Hello melody,
Very good background on the Tarot, and well covered. I liked the mention of the fact, that the Tarot is a tool, not a magical instrument. Tarot is one of many keys to reaching within ones self for what is being sought. Seriously used, is a worthwhile tool.

Thank you for the video links. They are quite long and I have not watched them yet although I will when I can.

I can say the Tarot is a book of initiation created in ancient Egypt.

I could explain the meaning of the first card The Magician, but it is rather long

Suffice it to say that the Tarot has nothing to do with "prophecies" or "fortune telling" or "telling the future" or any other such fanciful notion, in otherwords the Tarot was never intended for mantic purposes - this is an offshoot of todays psychic industry.
