Hello Adrian and Melody,

What a wonderful way of showing the saying the same thing in 'different' angles.

Semantics = Ethnocentricities:

n. (used with a sing. or pl. verb)

   1. Linguistics. The study or science of meaning in language.
   2. Linguistics. The study of relationships between signs and symbols and what they represent. Also called semasiology.
   3. The meaning or the interpretation of a word, sentence, or other language form: We're basically agreed; let's not quibble over semantics.

We are saying the same thing. Same Tree, different position on the same tree = The all or many Seeing Eyes (I s') of God.

Love Is,

Wishing you, well... fill in the blanks,

Julia

Dear Adrian, smiley

I just reread this post between you and Melody and my last comment. I meant this when I read through it the first time because I saw myself in Melody's position at one point and had and continue to shift in my beliefs to what you are sharing here. I find it interesting as I have shared in other posts that there is a big difference between holding onto one's beliefs and holding onto Truth.

Wow! I was in error here about semantics. By the way everyone, it just goes to show you that Adrian allows others to believe whatever they want to in the moment and chooses not to argue. I appreciate you the more I get acquainted with you Adrian.

You pretty much said it here in Light of the other posts currently going on in the Forums.

Thank you. smiley

Thank you very much for your kind words.

Yes - allowance is crucial because we are all here for different purposes and to gain different experience.  What might seem or look strange to one person might be perfectly normal for another.

Some of our objectives are to guide and help people to think for themselves. I do this when these representatives from various religious groups show up at the door to sell their religion. I always respect their beliefs but ask various subtle questions.

For example I might say - "you are obviously very dedicated to your religion to go out on the streets from door to door making people aware of it.  What was it about your religion that originally attracted you and caused you to become so dedicated to it?"

Of course the answer, if an answer is forthcoming, is that they did not choose the religion, but rather follow it because their parents and relatives going back generations also follow it and they never thought to question it. They are simply following their parents or the wishes of their parents.

You will find members of some religions go back many generations - over hundreds of years in fact - but would never consider an alternative.

If we can help these people to think for themselves then we have achieved something.

One of my most notable experiences in this is a Roman Catholic monk who had been reading my newsletters, and originally challenged my statements and views of Jesus and the Bible. When I showed him the inner meanings of Jesus teachings and how great Jesus was he changed completely and seemed very open - he was clearly already questioning his own beliefs.

I suggested that instead of reconciling the Universe to the Bible, he might find it far more fulfilling to start with the Universe and Universal Truths, and then see where the Bible agrees with it.

In Love and Light,

Adrian.

I agree one hundred percent. I already went through the representatives of various religious groups experience in my formative years. They kept bringing Higher up elders in and it was quite interesting. Those were the days when I still carried my sword. wink

What did come from having this experience is that it caused me to Ask deeper questions about what Truth was because obviously everyone thought they had it!! Why would I be deceived into thinking that I only had the answer. Why would one 'burn' in hell for believing otherwise which is a question I had had since a younger child. I began to see the similarities and investigate the differences and Asking for Wisdom beyond man's ways of being wise. I wasn't finding the answers based on man's understanding.

This is true of my family as well. Because I was seeking answers from a Divine Source, I was given the opportunity to investigate the founding beliefs of my biological family and allowed to go back and be around my family that I became aware of their 'humanness.' I had a conversation with my grandmother before she transitioned about why God said one thing and allowed another according to the Bible, which she had studied for over 60 years. She didn't have an answer, in fact she said she didn't get it either and the Bible confused her sometimes but because 'God said it' in the Bible, and the Bible is true then she just accepted it. Another shift and continuing education in my ongoing evolution.

Yes, I agree, we keep trying to make God in our illusive image. Truth does not change. It is we who must change our minds and our thinking must be measured by Truth not the other way around. Took me awhile to get this and it is forever changing my mind because because I still am in this reality with an expiration date learning about One who never has, never will Expire.
