Significance of a Mayan 2013 Date !

This is a question for Adrian.
Concluding a serious wrestling match with WordPress and relaxing by browsing a catalog of new books, came across this statement:
"according to the Mayans, the important date to watch is not December 21,2012, but February 19,2013". Unless I overlooked it I don't recall any mention of this 2013 date, here on the Forums.
Can you shed light on / do you have thoughts regards this second date!

Yeap, me too. I read it in somewhere in a book, that mayans calculations are quite right, but there were some differences in the days for a year , with modern calculations and Mayans. I heard it's suppose to  be february 13th too.

I had not heard this specific date either. I had read that the date could be off one way or the other, but this is news to me. I am curious also of its origins and others knowledge of it.
Either way - its going to be a ride down the rabbit hole.
