I just joined this forum and downloaded the book.  My son (48) had emotional problems and shot himself in June 2002.  I had a dream that he was in his yellow corvette, later sat at a table with me and pushed over some empty checkbooks.  We always believed in an afterlife and I wondered if he would contact me.  The dream happened about 2003.  He didn't look happy in the dream.  In his life here he was always trying to "get rich."  Buy corvettes, etc.  I just wondered if anyone has any thoughts about this.  He had tried suicide before but never completed it.  I always told him not to do it but he was very depressed.  I think he may have been bi-polar, he was on prozac.

Thank you for your post.

I am sorry to hear of your son, but you can be sure he is very safe and well in the next phase of life which is more "real" than the physical world.

People who have recently passed-over almost always endeavour to contact loved ones. It can be frustrating for them when the people they are contacting on Earth appear to be "normal", yet they cannot be seen at all. Very often though their "presence", their "Energy" can be felt from time to time.

The most common and it seems effective way for a passed-over person to make contact is indeed in a dream. We all leave our body at night and this is the ideal opportunity for a contact between physical and non-physical persons to be made. Such a contact might seem very real as if in physical life, othertimes, as in your case it might be more symbolic.

The most important thing is though that the pass-over person has made contact and convyed the most important truth of all; that they live on and are happy.

Just wanted to add a book review to this section on the Afterlife and Reincarnation. The book is entitled: As Alive, So Dead by Mary Ann. The author is the person whom the US television series Ghost Whisperer is based upon. See: http://www.maryannghostbuster.com/html/home2.html

The book related how Mary Ann has encountered people who have passed from physical to nonphysical existence. The nonphysical entities have remained in the earth realm to communicate with loved ones they left behind. The stories contained in the book are about these communications done through Mary Ann.

While the author infuses the book with a slight touch of her own religious beliefs, it does not take away from the books message of communicating with those who have transitioned to the nonphysical. It is well worth reading.

As a follow up, I'd also recommend the TV show Ghost Whisperer to anyone who can receive this program. It currently runs here in the US on Friday evenings, and I'm not aware if it is broadcast in other places. The show is done well in my opinion, and the cast members do a splendid job.

I didn't think the information was that great. It did look like a program simply came up witht he answers from your info sheet.  However, there was some okay free info on your higher self i thought.

too many questions asked here. imho a profile can easily be drawn up by analysing all the questions.  I have seen Diane Stein's dvd on working with the Lords Of Karma.  pretty much a self help and easy way of releasing you of karmas in past lives.

I would say this is highly unlikely, or unreliable at best. Each personality, e.g. your current one only experiences one life, it is your Higher Self that experiences multiple lives; your Higher Self being the total of all lives. Therefore to gain access to past life knowledge involves communicating with your Higher Self through your Subconscious Mind.

There is little if anything to be gained by this knowledge, indeed it can be a negative, which is why this knowledge is blocked from the conscious Mind.

Hello Adrian,

I appreciate what you wrote in today's Mindpower newsletter about reincarnation.  It's a confusing topic for many us -- there are so many diverse explanations given by various teachers -- but your explanation today was concise and clear.

I understand that the personalities of the Higher Self are all incarnating simultaneously and "sending back" experiential information to the Higher Self.  What I don't understand is, do all of the various personalities have a conscious sense of self as they move on through the astral and mental worlds and back to the Higher Self?  And having returned to the Higher Self, are they still self-aware, or are they just absorbed back into the whole?  I've read some Vedanta philosophy that speaks of the total loss of ego and personal consciousness when the personality is reabsorbed into the whole.  Maybe it's just my ego bristling at the idea, but it sounds depressing to me!  What do you think?
