Hello Steve 428,

There are people who claim that one can get Vitamin B-12 form Spirulina, Blue-Green algae, and sea weed. But Dr. Gabriel Cousens claims that although this vitamin indeed is present in those foods, it is not bio-available and cannot be assimilated.

Our microflora, though, plays a big part in assimilating nutrients. I am not sure how Dr. Cousens had conducted his experiments. If it was done with people who have been fasting for a while and had a number of enemas, which he propages to be used as part of the cleansing fast procedure, it would have taken a while for a good microflora to reestablish itself completely in the guts, and therefore to be able to extract the majority of the nutrients from the food. But being a doctor, maybe he took all of this into account.

It is also claimed that if you eat fruit - if fallen on the ground - unwashed, you get all the vitamin B-12 you need from the soil bacteria particles. But our soils are so depleted now, that there are hardly any bacteria left in the commercial agricultural soil.

This video tells how depleted our soil is

This video is a tribute to Dr. Ann Wigmore who has started the modern raw vegan movement. She was able to cure herself of cancer. She helped many people to cure themselves of cancer and other deceases.

Here are two articles concerning the Vitamin B-12 issue, as per different Doctor investigations or conclusions.

The first article states that Vitamin B-12 is actually a bacteria, and it is a total myth that it exists in meats and dairy products, especially cooked ones, since heat destroys bacteria. Both meat eaters and vegetarians can be Vitanin B-12 deficient.

Here is one of the reasons why to opt for the local raw vegan produce or wild growing foods which, in addition to being a great health building option, will keep you away from controlling regulations that are in a plan to come into effect in a near future.

Codex Alimentarius - how it could affect your free choice of what you consume.

In this video Dr. Rima Laibow explains what is Codex Alimentarius, how it originated, and its plans to control food production.

Besideshealth and physical well being that 100% raw vegan food can bring, there are also "cosmetic" benefits. People's skin acquire glow, and their personalities seem to emit more shine as well.

Here are several picture galleries of before and after the raw vegan diet. See the dramatic results. People actually become more physically attractive.

Raw fruit and vegetables are very beneficial. Fruit is especially high in sugar content that we use as energy, and all vegetables, including those for the salad, are very high on various nutrients. You can check the nutrient content at the links provided. Pay attention at the weight of the produce at the top left. You can change it to make it comparable with other produce items, or you can multiply it in your head to make the same weight as the item you are comparing it to.

Apples, raw, with skin

Oranges, raw, all commercial varieties

Lettuce, cos or romaine, raw

Carrots, raw

Peppers, sweet, red, raw

Tomatoes, red, ripe, raw, year round average

I came across statements that those with cancer should not eat produce high in sugar, which would also include carrots. Sugar is responsible for fermentation, which apparently is to be avoided for those who have the cancer challenge.
