This is a 1hr 55 min long film “Breakthrough” produced by Storm Talifero about him and his family leading a raw vegan lifestyle. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8183852041721248182&q=raw+vegan&total=406&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0Note what a ”Paradise on Earth” type of living Storm was able to create. The film is a bit long, but it is beautiful to watch. There are 2 short mute sections in it when his wife Jinjee talks. For those who have children you might be intrested in the episode towards the end of the film when Storm and Jinjee take their children to a clinic for a medical check up. Also interesting is a 9 months fallow up to that visit.

Here’s a short excerpt from Storm’s film “Breakthrough" in which he compares the nutritional values of raw and cooked foods. http://youtube.com/watch?v=WbSB9rGp3HUThis is Storm’s website, but for some reason it cannot be reached today. I hope the link would be OK in the near future http://www.TheGardenDiet.com

This video shows how diabetes could be reversed in 30 days on raw vegan food. (Mind you this reversal would be sustainable only if one continued on the raw vegan diet). It is intresting to note that some people are self destructive and prefer to go on with their bad habits of drinking, smoking and eating SAD (Standard American Diet), rather than giving themselves a chance to cure themselves. For many people SAD food is too addictive to try a different way of eating, even when their health depends on it. This video gives a suggestion how to transition slowly to a raw vegan way of eating. It could be quite a shock for somebody to try to do it all of a sudden. Some people can do it quite successfully, others have a hard time with it. Some might experience it as a shock to their body, when the unprocessed metabolites from the years of cooked food start dislogging from various parts of the body. When the food is cooked and many ingredients are used, very large molecules of inorganic matter are formed that our body does not have the ability to process. (We are all apart of the animal world whose metabolism was designed to process raw foods). These molecules often get inside the blood stream, and the body stores them someplace, together with various chemical food additives and pesticide. When these start moving, dislodged by the living enzymes in the raw foods, this is when you might feel quite uncomfortable. Just remember, that if you persevere, all will get stabilized in time, and you will start feeling much better. Transition to a Raw Food Diethttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkGxESvTBMs

This is a 2 hr and 5 min long Google video with raw vegan chef Juliano. As a 24 year old, Juliano Brotman opened the first living organic vegan restaurant in San Francisco called Raw Planet. He even catered to Hollywood stars, and mentions Pierce Brosnan in this video. Some of you might not find the beginning of the video (the food cutting in the kitchen) interesting to watch. Simply bring the little indicator forward (once the video loads sufficiently), to the point where Juliano begins his public talk and presentation. Pay attention when he speaks about health benefits of the raw food, and the fact that one can have healthy teeth if eating this way. Also note his unusual substitute for shampoo – honey. I tried it and it works great. He also suggests an unusual source of B-12 Vitamin that vegans might easily lack, produced by homeostatic soil bacteria (a natural source of it, not bought in a bottle). Please look more into the validity of this claim. Try to discover some good B-12 supplement source. I liked the recipes he is making. Both the zucchini spaghetti and the salad dressing taste great! This is a short interview with raw shef Juliano inside his restaurant in Santa Monica. Juliano is famous for mimicking textures and tastes of the standard North American foods. http://youtube.com/watch?v=UCHtiMaUXkY&mode=related&search=This is another video from Juliano's cafe. http://youtube.com/watch?v=3hdqw5L5Fl0This webside features another interview with Juliano. After the first part of the clip finishes, the second will start to play right away. http://www.living-foods.com/juliano/Also find down the webpage Juliano's recipe for the raw STRAWBERRY ROMANOFF P.S. Although Juliano serves in his cafe and drinks organic coffee, I would like to mention that caffeine is a strong stimulant that over stimulates adrenal glands, and can drain them eventually. If you eat a lot of greens and have all the microelements for your body to work properly, you don't need to stimulate yourself with coffee or anything else, because you will be at your optimum.

HI Melody, how do you get your B12's without the meat? I was always curious about that, especially as I heard about b12 supplements not really being assimilated fully by the body. Are there certain food combos or veggies that give you useable B12? Steve

Hello Steve 428, No, you cannot get Vitamin B-12 from any veggie combinations. Juliano in his 2 hour long video above suggests a very unconventional source of B-12 Vitamine (towards the end of the film) that I have not tried, but it seems to work with some people. It appears one can go on for quite a few years without experiencing any ill effects of not eating meat or any supplements. I personally don't react too well to chemically concocted Vitamins, so I don't take any. So I am concerned about discovering a good B-12 source. Gabriel Cousens had suggested in an over the net teleconference as the best source of Vitamin B 12 in a live liquid form and produced by probaotic bacteria Max Stress "B" Nano-Plex. This is the company that produces it http://www.qnlabs.com/You will see it listed down this webpage http://www.qnlabs.com/alpha.phpIt is also sold at Gabriel Cousens's website http://www.awakenedshoppe.com/shoppe/product.php?productid=101&cat=23&bestsellerI find this supplement to be a bit pricey (shipping and hadling still have to be added on top of the listed price), so I have not tried it yet.
