Thanks for the interesting perspective. The vacuum effect creating energy. Well?
Like you say questions?
Ya know I was reading that and I said to myself "why do I care about this?"
What difference can it make to me or my understanding of anything.
It's maybe a fun mental exercise but that's all it is a mental game and mental games
for me are just that, a game. I guess that's what the human brain loves to do. It's like any verbal communication or discussion on any concept, we seem to feel the need to satisfying the mind's need to categorize, label and "make sense" of things.
The human mind loves to have the answers. Is there really answers? Why
do we feel the need for them? The mind begs for a timeline and a "how to" process
to be satisfied, which as the questions get more abstract, the harder it is to do.
And the wisdom of the enlightened child who dares to ask the tough questions get brushed aside because there is no answer that will satisfy.
We keep asking. I guess we just love the game huh?
Will we get to the point where we quit asking or feel the need to have the answers?
I say yes.

Yes the info you offered is very interesting and like you say makes sense. The funny part for me is the need to ask and the need for an answer.

Hello Seth and All,

A few years back I posted a listing of ten topics that was based on mind interests, that were on the front burner at all times. There are only the 'listings' in that first post:

http://thetalker.org/archives/128/1-things-i-think-about/

I had questioned the 'why' of a post with only ten categories shown. Nothing else was included in that specific # 1, first post, in that titled blog. Perhaps a 'check point' so to speak, of how ones mind and interests follows cyclic patterns, was one thought. Another thought was showing that all of ones life experiences are merely stepping stones, all leading to one focal point, and a block. The blocks were at first confusing, with no apparent answers surfacing. During mind trips into other interests, up would pop an answer to some other block, seemingly totally unrelated. Like you've stated, it became a sort of 'game' in finding areas that provided answers to blocks in other areas. Removal of a block was no solace, when a bit further along the way another block would show up. So it became a life trip of experiencing, questioning, question, and yes, a block. Seek answers elsewhere, or go nuts with wondering about the 'what of it'.  Surprisingly one can find 'answers' to what was a stumbling block in another area, unrelated to what is the current theme one is with. Did find as some have already mentioned here, that one starts to question the rhyme and reason of it all. It all starts sounding the same, but reworked with different words, giving the 'same old, same old'. and you got it, at least it was so for me ' another block' but now its a block for ALL of it. Let it all 'jell' for awhile. Than 'normal insanity' returns, little by little. Seems that it all boils down to tracing the start of what we call God in our life. During my many trips into 'how did God start' and the many seeming blocks, another thought pops in. Just enjoy the experience, knowing that God and I, AND all of us, are 'ONE'.  So here we, are or at least I am, just ex perincing this beautiful thing called life. Guess I've validated my second dads saying of 'the more we learn, the less we know'. Took awhile to fully understand that saying.
More questions! Get in line with me. Just making an effort to understand it all.

Dear Talker,
Thanks for your response.

Ah yes, the confusing episodes one can go through in life.
If only the process of 'attraction' were so simple as some say. The belief factor, I believe is the glitch in the methods advocated by many. The book 'Secret of The Ages' goes a long way in creating a good  basis in beliefs.
With a bit of modification, concept wise, you may find what you desiring to accomplish, in the listed posts. Seems that all the loop holes need to be closed. Otherwise how can a desire be fulfilled if there are far to many loop holes still open. Desire, intent, and faith are quite the mix, just like preparing a meal, leave out a specific, and that specific may just make a mess of the meal.

For some, the process easily floods the person doing the 'creating'. Others, myself included, had to work hard with a review through introspection, on what belief or beliefs were doing the 'block'. Numerous posts with a tad of imagination, can be altered to do the process needed to be successful. There is 'NO ONE WAY' to get it done.

Kendar

Hello Kendar and All,
While I can only state here what I think and believe, is valid, regards your
questions, they are what has in one form or another, commenced giving results.
Fantastic results, no, but results that WERE from my personal efforts, indicating
that the process does indeed 'WORK'. That in and by itself is fantastic. Slowly, as
I came to recognize that 'beliefs' were indeed the 'blocking of success' factor,
went to work on finding out 'what are my real  beliefs'. This is, as I often call it
the 'tanglefoot' area in ones efforts. So, as the saying goes, 'if you want to know
what your belief factors are, just look around and at, what is in your life'. This
aspect is hard to fully comprehend, but is a fact that must be dwelt with.
Otherwise it is always 'same old, same old', always taking place. Horrendous
thoughts of people caught up in the tanglefoot of wars, death camps, genocide
and you name it, terrible things, that happen and one does 'wonder'. If 'nothing'
happens by accident, then individuals, and group souls are caught up in a 'human
construct' that begs correction. (Much more is involved with that thought, but will
leave it for now.) Cant be two ways, either ones beliefs and group soul beliefs are
creating certain conditions, or they are not. If beliefs can determine 'what
happens' at the personal level, with any degree of success, than all the negative
things in the world follow that same principle.

Quote
Talker, how would one know their “belief factors” if these are performed
Subconsciously?
First, lets correct that thought, 'beliefs' are NOT instituted or created by the
subconscious. The subconscious ACTS upon the beliefs, bringing them into
fruition. The subconscious does NOT create ones beliefs. Those things referred to
as the conscious, subconscious, low-self, middle-self, and high-self aspects of
'Being' are mostly misunderstood. While they are individual energies, they
intermingle, but ARE ALL one energy called 'I', blended in with what we generally
call the 'Source' and or 'God'. Numerous of my blog posts, reference a 'Babbler',
and than takes off into many areas of the 'how and what' of beliefs. Part of ones
belief factors sets in during childhood and progresses along, CREATING more beliefs as
we mature. So in essence one does contribute heavily to the 'good, and the not
so good' beliefs. Could list various ways to help determine belief factors, but
wont. Will suggest though, that you use the 'OUR' forum, pick out any topic, and
start asking questions and actually writing them down for reference. Questions
like: Is this true!, Do I believe the statement! Why is it harmonious or
inharmonious!, Is it God or man based! Do I feel it true or as false!.Winnowing
through the comments and posts is an excellent way of getting a handle on your
own beliefs.

Quote
Talker, would you say that The Universal Life Energy is the same as The
Universal Mind?
Of course what I say here is only my opinion and belief, and may or may not be
'Truth' for any other. What matters though, is how you resonate with my truth, or
any others 'truth'. So here it is. Yes, 'The Universal Life Energy and The Universal
Mind' ARE one and the same energy, with various degrees of 'focus intensity'
applied. Awareness and mans need to 'name' things, is what contributes to mans
confusion of 'what is reality'. Oh well, could be wrong.

Quote
Let us assume that the intents and desires have been 'CLEARLY' stated.
As I understand it “release it to the Universe” means let go. How would you
advise one to do this?
Kendar
Treat the whole situation the same as you would do, if sending a postal letter.
Insert the bill or note into the envelope, address the envelope, seal it, stick a
stamp on it, and put it in a mail box and walk away. Some what simple process,
isn't it! OOps, did I sign the check in the envelope! Do I have enough funds in the
bank to cover it! Is the address correct! Did I miss a specific detail! Same with
sending the desired intent and desired thing, BUT with one major consideration.
What is being released to the Universe, MUST BE sent as a 'THANK YOU' for what
WAS received, and 'not' for what I would like to receive. Here is the tanglefoot
part, converting the 'inner self' to KNOWING it has happened, because that inner
babbler is laughing and mocking you at the silliness of what is being done.  Once
one starts to 'wonder' if it (what ever it is) will materialize, you effectively wipe it
out, zero it, cancel it, and than question 'why' it didn't happen. Easy to say, but
'believe it has happened', give 'thanks' for having received it, and now forget it.
This forum has many clues and details that will help.

Was there a time when "god" did not exist?

Hello Seth and All,

Ah yes, the curious mind of humans at work. Your question of:

Quote
Was there a time when "god" did not exist?,

took me back some seven decades or so memory wise. There I was sitting in a front pew of the church with others of the class. We were there to display our knowledge and retention of our religious class training to high ranking church officials. St Boniface church was celebrating some event (don't recall the what of that event) and this class was to show these officials how far advanced we were along the training path. After one official had finished 'asking' various test type questions, he inquired of us 'are there any questions?'. Picture this now, a high ranking church official, must have been an Archbishop, as the tall colored head wear indicated (now) he was an authority of some consequence. There was the normal background sounds of a large audience. Up went my hand. So this imposing figure inquired as to what was my question. 'Who made God' was what I had asked. Dead silence filled the church, that I recall as if it had just happened. Next was the nuns voice whispering in my ear, 'we don't ask about things like that'. This imposing figure, after a momentary pause stated ' That is not for us to question'. After the church ceremony was over and we all were back in the school classroom ( a mandatory process), I was singled out for a very severe lecture about my behavior in asking that question. Did and have long sought an answer to that question. The closest and most logical theory to me was read in the material I'm listing here. This new found God theory perhaps resonated with me due to my electricity and electronic training. Made sense, even while leaving more unanswered questions.

The Dark Night of the Soul has passed.

Greetings All,
As is frequently the case, expressing thoughts, opens the door to rethinking existing thoughts, posing new questions at times. So here I post those new thoughts and questions that took place with me.

So now, ‘The Dark Night of the Soul has passed’. Why did it happen at all, is the question raised now.

EGO, it appears, is, or may be , the culprit hiding behind the facade of ones spirituality. While doing probing research into the ego concept, I find many interesting statements that opens new doors of thought. So, what is a dictionary description of ego?
Definition:
1 The conscious self,
2 Excessive love of self: conceit.
[n] (psychoanalysis) the conscious mind
[n] your consciousness of your own identity
[n] an inflated feeling of pride in your superiority to others
Synonyms:
egotism, self, self-importance

Webster’s 1913 Dictionary
Definition: \E”go\, n. [L., I.] (Met.)
The conscious and permanent subject of all psychical
experiences, whether held to be directly known or the
product of reflective thought; — opposed to non-ego.
Meaning of NON-EGO
Webster’s 1913 Dictionary

Definition: \Non-e”go\, n. [L., not I.] (Metaph.)
The union of being and relation as distinguished from, and
contrasted with, the ego. See {Ego}.

Says a lot, yet clarifies nothing, from my diminutive perspective of ones ego. So now, what might be a causative involvement between problems, ego and enlightenment! Andrew Cohen in an article stated, ‘Because our ability to recognize the true face of the ego, to see it for what it actually is, depends entirely upon how far we want to go on the spiritual path’.
Starting to sound like my blog post:

http://thetalker.org/archives/234/2-truth-is-like-a-rubber-band-2/

That post is my take about ‘Truth’ and it’s meaning as a variable. Seemingly truth as one see’s it, depends on ‘where’ you are standing, in relation to an event. Now it appears that the words ‘Enlightenment’ and ‘Ego’ fall into that similar type of category, of ‘where are you on the ‘path’ of life. Ones ‘truth’ of life’s manifestations depends greatly on where on the ‘path’ of progress one is. It’s either great or it is full of blocks from your point of view. It’s smooth sailing or rough stormy weather being experienced. Doubt, chaos and confusion manifest aboundingly. Well, from what this new found awareness is pointing out, that which is called “ego’ decides which category one is experiencing. So the term ‘ego’ has taken on a whole new meaning to me, just as the term ‘enlightenment’ has.
Ego can prove to be a terrifying demon when coping with ones ego. Enlightenment as I’m finding out, can also be a variable. I had previously believed, that you either ‘were’ or you ‘were not’ enlightened. Appears now, that some modifying word needs to be used with the term ‘enlightenment’, or I’m missing out completely what enlightenment is all about. Is it a full or partial enlightenment! Modifying terms are Mystical Enlightenment, Shamanic Enlightenment, Sexual Enlightenment, Energetic Enlightenment, Devotional Enlightenment, Psychological Enlightenment, Intellectual Enlightenment, Physical Enlightenment, Infinite Oneness Enlightenment, Beauty of the Moment Enlightenment, Ahaa Enlightenment, and the listing is still not complete. So, one is on the path of life leading to enlightenment of some sort! Which path is the first question or are they all one and the same thing! The second question becomes, is there a ‘Dark Night of the Soul’ involved before any category of enlightenment takes place, or does it ‘hit’ only after all the listed categories have met ‘blank walls’! As I’m now reading and finding out, (Andrew Cohen quote) ‘that for most seekers, enlightenment experiences were not the end of the path but only the beginning. To walk the spiritual path in earnest is to find out what we’re made of and how much we are truly willing to give up in order to come to the end of division within ourselves. The price for that kind of profound and deeply liberating simplicity is too high for most, because that price is ego death.
So much for the thinking that I understood the terms ‘ego and enlightenment’.
No matter how, once ‘The Dark Night of the Soul ‘ has passed is a blessing.

Aside from the beautiful poetry this poem contains profound wisdom as it progresses.

The first few lines address "thinking", which in the context of these inner objectives we should never do.

The last few lines address the absolute "I" which is our true reality.

Thank you very much for this contribution.

i will go to search to find out more, again thank you both so much.

Hi Consciousflowerings and All,

That there is awareness present, it indicates activity of some sort is taking place there. Will skip the long and get to the nub of it. Do a three finger thump at the sternum. I use the high point bone junction at the top of the rib cage. Have used this technique for many decades. The EFT process automatically 'works' this gland. Keep in mind, that not only is the thymus doing something, (from your description) many connected glands are also being fed information, releasing hormones to prepare and assist for what the next action may be.
This could be 'fight or flight', as any startling noise, triggers the 'fear' factor. Great subject to followup up on (Glands) as all the other glands ARE also involved. Stress from any source can be a factor. New relationships, job change, no job, car problems, finances all enter the picture. But doing the three finger thump, helps to normalize the situation.
To answer your specific question, is all guess work. Pay attention to any other bodysigns that may tie in to what is being experienced. Hows the health situation overall!
More questions than answers, dislike when that occurs.

10  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Femininity/masculinity and being a woman or man? on: August 11, 2008, 20:32:24
Hello To All,
That humans function within the gender principle, is a given. Yet there are such mixed emotions on the how and what of it, as pertains to humans, that serious thought needs to be applied to the concept. The mere mention of 'that's a man', or 'that's a woman', automatically shifts one into category or classification mode. Some times humorously at anothers expense. But is it really understood by the thinker or user of those terms, on what is meant, besides a him or her thought!
While there are certain differences between male and female emotions and how handled, there is more 'in common' between the two sex's than is commonly acknowledged or admitted.
There is ever so much more that could be written here, but for now, will keep it short.
Also femininity and masculinity while generally applied to the female/male form, and from what I've read / heard and feel, is grossly misapplied in numerous instances.  Boy's don't cry or girl's just don't act like that, are starters for what I feel is an incorrect application. Of course, the shedding of tears while watching a tender event or scene by a male is taboo, no real male sheds tears, right! Who needs a sissy title!  How about female executives or wrestlers? Hey, a woman belongs in the kitchen and taking care of the kids, right! Slowly balance is taking place with both genders.
That's what it's all about, balance. Fairness, equality, common sense applies with many, or lacks with many, depending on circumstances. Feminine/masculine traits show up in various ways with each gender. Now I won't presume to speak for any female here, so will stick to my male biased  perspective of what is said here. If one is male, and still has a modicum of testosterone left in the body, and a pleasing female form passes by, male traits will or can rapidly set in. Having, as Jimmy Carter once stated 'lustful thoughts', is not necessarily wrong, but if any male aggressiveness kicks in and applied, that is wrong. Have noticed the facial expressions on some females subjected to unasked for looks and whistles by coworkers, some were pleased, some showed disgust. Have overheard comments though by some females on the passing by of a male, 'wow, look at that ass', indicating some what, that hormones and testosterone flow in both sexes. There is often though, the overlooking and feeling of the soul beauty involved. The intermingling of emotions and energies other than the momentary pleasure of the sex act.
So am I so wrong in enjoying the viewing a rose and inhaling it's fragrance with delight! Is it weakness to have ones breath momentarily held by the beauty of a sunrise or sunset! Try to explain the stage fright of delivering a child with the joy and emotions of the moment.
Beauty is beauty, regardless if meditation, animal, plant, landscape or a human in involved. If what ever I'm viewing and experiencing at the time is pleasing, why not enjoy that moment. The  femininity/masculinity emotions chemistry, being released in any given moment, can only be coped with by letting it happen or hiding them.
Our choice of which one to allow.
Males seem to frown at tears in a male, even some females view it as a weakness.
So be it.
Supposedly that's my female side manifesting, do I care if you observe me in those modes of awe, nope not one bit, even though being seen in that mode is not fully understood by all.Must admit though that there were a few occasions that I had to seek privacy to let the tears of joy or sorrow flow unimpeded. For what ever the mismatch reasons of energies involved, am unable to share the emotions of some events with another present.
Oh well, another period of learning to face.
So I feel that some semblance of balance deep within, of the gender principle working for me. How is it working for you!

Warm Welcome To All,
I follow the trends of various topics presented on this forum with loving interest and 'feeling tones'.  As I allowed my thoughts to roam into the depths of this topic, could only recognize that the old bugaboo of finding the appropriate words to apply, was again, rearing it's head.
So without further ado will just jump in to mangle, butcher and misapply certain words, that could apply, using a 'big stretch' of ones imagination and interpretation.
Do I really want to post this is the present thought!
A some what change of pace and point of view approach to this topic.
Body, Mind, Soul and God, as I feel it applied here, is being presented as a profound dichotomy of ones thinking process. Understood that to the one experiencing the event it is very personal, and one may not be open to the why of it from a grander scale, point of view.
If on the one hand, 'all is one', it is a mirage (although convenient) to isolate each of the four aspects mentioned, into separate entities. The epithelium so to speak, one places between those four aspects only enhances the schism and myopia in ones thinking process. The fermentation ( best fit, wrong word) process of Body, Mind, Soul and God is an eclectic one until Unconditional Love is achieved. While ones physical, ephemeral experiences on earth, are looked upon, as a karmic by nature experience, (and a some what misunderstood process) for the soul's progress, it is basically a didactic process into mysticism.
One's experiences, whether good or not so good, at which point they either hold it in, express it to others, and/or learn and share them. Often the difficult aspect of speaking about an experience, if unpleasant, will relieve the pressure of it. In this way, others can be, in manner of speaking, assisted in coping with their situations. Transmutation is also a process that requires energy. Regardless of what it's called or how it may be used, (healing, joy, sorrow, pain, birth, death, relaxation, marriage, chakras, yoga, Kriya yoga, etc) all the mentioned processes involve energy in some way, shape or form, being used in starting, applying, continuing or ending an event. Why the various names for the energy used! Only one who started a method of using energy and assigned a name to it, makes the difference, energy is energy, regardless of what called, unless I'm very mistaken here.
Much depends on where in the string (what else could I call it!) of energy one is tapping into it. Like a pipeline (of what ever distance) of water, no matter where in that pipeline one taps into it, it is water that come out. I feel the same would apply to energy, (regardless of from where) no matter how one taps into it, it is energy coming out.
How this energy is used is another story. Healing, cooling a home, heating a home, oil, air, life itself, etc, all involve energy in one form or another.
Part of this situation is we ( at least I) are unable to see either the beginning or ending (if that were possible) of the energy line or source.
The main point here is that what one experiences beautiful or otherwise is all part of a learning curve. If by design or not, is part of the confusion. Logic if applied to 'nothing happens by accident' dictates that the incident was some how planned. The same logic then applies to 'by whom or by what source was that planning done!'
It is hard to understand the 'why' of some of the experiences as stated here in the forum. Recognized is the courage required to express those unpleasant experiences, even if not asked for.
Than kicks in that biblical passage, 'This too shall pass'.
Many events happening in any given moment, defy understanding the why of it. Like I had stated on in my blog 'Truth is like a Rubber Band', depends much on where you are viewing it from, to make sense of it all.
Do I fully comprehend the magnitude of all the thoughts  expressed, no, that would perhaps be, what is termed enlightenment, haven't reached that yet. Basic understanding would be closer to the truth of it all.
All can be tracked back to one specific source, need I write that source!
I could be wrong in all or part of my thinking, but that is part of the learning process, isn't it.

Hello,

What I miss in this topic is why certain people have certain, very obvious, talents. Wouldn't it seem logical that they are supposed to do something with that? Wouldn't it be a waste not to? Isn't it better to follow your passion then to just be stuck in a job that doesn't have anything to do with that passion?

Warm Welcome Awakened Soul  and All,

There are four questions raised here.
Four answers are:
                           Yes
                           Yes
                           Yes
                           Yes
What is preventing the passion from manifesting in another job, as opposed to being 'stuck' in an incorrect passionless job!
If the desire and will are present, only ones limiting belief factor is the impediment.
No shame in tooting ones horn and going for the gold.
Easily said of course, and  may require serious effort, yet if the passion is strong enough, it can be done. There is nothing in being highly spiritual that requires poverty, or lack of anything. It is ones own lock that is to be unlocked, and the key or combination is within the individual.
Be Well.

Warm Welcome and Hello To All
Interesting topic as usual here on the forum.
Unless I'm all messed up and tangle foot in my thinking and belief factors,
here is how I feel and see it:
1 - We are not sent here.
2 - One willingly comes here.
 3 - We experience.
4 - One is not forced to do anything
5 - One can just sit or rest until ready to go at it all again.
6 - We learn how to cope with those experiences.
7 - We grade and critique our own efforts as pass - no pass.
8 - Pass give the opportunity to move to a higher level of spiritual
      awareness, if desired.
9 - No pass give the opportunity to try again, or try again at another time.
10 - All the experiences are toward achieving Unconditional Love our purpose
for being here, not necessarily a specific style of activity.
11 - Unconditional Love achieved and service helping mankind advance, gives
one true knowledge of the God Spirit.
12 - What more would one need or want!

Warm Welcome Julia and All,
Thank you for the reminder of this man and his lecture. Had seen parts of it awhile ago, but did not watch in it's entirety. Took the time at this point to do so. Was moved enough by the life energy flowing to do a post on it.
Some times one does need a whack across the shins to awaken to what needs to be done.

Warm Welcome Melody and All,
Thank you for the link to this talk. Very meaningful words were spoken. Many posts on this forum paralleled what was presented in that talk.
It still comes down to Unconditional Love, although those words were not mentioned. From my perspective though, had the words 'Jesus The Christ' been used as opposed to Jesus Christ, and with no mention of the  'Son of God' dying for our sins, that talk would have rang solidly true for me. My perspective aside though, it was a very meaningful explanation that should help many, that are as I call it 'tangle foot' with God, Good and Evil in this world.
