2  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Adrian Life Story? on: August 20, 2005, 21:37:59
What's up folks. Reading what your saying knucklebrain, I don't want to go work in an office building!! Even if I could and gain much more money. I could become like the regular dude and drive through the traffic every morning.... It is true that many people are totally enslaved by society. Social pressures is what refrain many people to really become what they truly are; they are the most powerful invisible ''chains'' that are keeping you into the mechanics of society. If you do not follow it, you will know it pretty quickly! But never say to yourself your a failure of course  Cheesy .

As for religions, I questioned many aspects of it and tries to grasp ''the essential message'' that we could find in it (not hard to do if you quickly look at it) and it seemed that it is what can be also portrayed in many different religious teachings: love, compassion, etc. I wonder why some religious institutions are still identified with the term ''religious''; if you analyse them, they do not work like religious institutions but like corporations!  huh  Anyway....

And, not to forget, even people like Adrian (he's not the only one with a Reality-book) disagree with eachother on certain things...

I'm not done with Adrian's book (I'm half-through) but I'm enjoying it and it is a nice introduction to so many different topics; it is almost like an encyclopedia!

Everybody have different views in life and it is important to do so I think (but, as we know it, just like Adrian said earlier, we always need to have an open mind also....). Like many of you, probably, I search for informations from many different sources and try to experience things in life (this is how we grow). This is a reason there are forums like this one so that people can bring different point of views on different topics. If we do not share personal beliefs or personal experiences in life, we will be stuck in our own bubble with any certainty of what is ''reality''. Basically, by sharing each others beliefs and experiences, we can grow collectively and individually also (if it is done in a positive and constructionist way of course....). A blind person is a small minority in this world but they trust on us, the majority that can see, to guide their way around. If the majority was blind and the minority could see: this is where abuse might start to show up; just like so many who try to keep secrets to others.....

4  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Is Wealth Unnatural? on: July 19, 2005, 20:41:43
I aslo think that wishing to be wealthy for selfish reasons only is inappropriate in this pittyful world we are living today. To become selfishly wealthy may bring more problems in the long run.

But it can also bring more opportunities to truly help others in a meaningful way if the person have good intentions.

5  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Jesus on: July 19, 2005, 20:34:11
I understand your approach Adrian, many finds out that the name of Jesus have been used so many times to create things that are totally the opposite of what the true ''essence'' might be. This is an extremely difficult thing to do to find out informations coming from 2000 years ago. I studied in cultural anthropology and believe me, people do not realize how interpretive it may be.... Especially an event that took place 2000 years ago! Both historians and anthropologists have come together to discuss this interpretive problem that we have when we try to ''make'' or ''build'' history. This is a great progress they have made since they now realize the important notion that ''history'' is shaped by a cultural background, personal belief, etc. Different anthropologists studying the same culture in a fieldwork setting will not necessiraly come with the same thing at the end.... And this is done in the present time! They will analyze legends with informants that are still living but still, they will have different results at the end. Imagine now if you try to reconstruct objective''history'' out of a metaphorical text like the bible.... Imagine how interpretive it might be! Since a metaphor can be assoicated to an image and te saying says: ''an image says a thousand word''; this is what you get, thousands of different versions that just mix people even more. You can get so much different approaches, it is incredible, and this is the reason why that we have to stress the importance that  we can not really find the exact ''historical life of Jesus'' and this with any ''old texts'' you can find (if anthropologists can not do it with all the information they can have in the present days cultures, its illogical to say that we can elaborate on Jesus life with such few things coming from the time where he lived).

How interpretive it may be? You have an example here with DR. T. J. Chalko. Another recent trend can be seen in  Dan Brown's books where Jesus is associated with secret societies! It is easy to build up things you know; I could decide to write a book called ''Jesus was a freemason'' and start theorizing that Jesus was of royal blood and that the last supper was a freemason ritual, etc just to ''support'' this conclusive interpretive approach that ''Jesus was a freeemason''....(this is not what I think of course, but would not be surprised to see such a book being published!). But, you know, maybe the last supper was just a little party before he knew he would die.... Who knows? Even Rael might start to use the word ''ressurection'' in his favor to distort its meaning into ''cloning''; basically, to say that to be ressurected will be to be ''cloned'' (easy interpretive association to do of course....). Anyway, you see what I mean.... Worst of all, some might try to construct ''physical evidence'' to try to conclude a certain theory and this will be no surprise at all.

What we can say is that the ''essence'' of his message seems clear: love you one another. But to find out if Jesus was wearing sandals or that he had a moustache instead of a beard, or that if Joseph was really a carpenter; that's only superficial details....

6  Projections of Consciousness / Projections of Consciousness / I need some advice on: July 16, 2005, 16:32:04
Your post just reminded me that I did experience some so-called vibrations during this good week-end afternoon nap that I just took but the memory of it is really vague (your post triggered it), thanks somehow indirectly! (But I can not remember anything at all if I have projected dammit). As for this ''darkness'' problem, to say such thing as ''clarity now'' usually helps but I'm far from being a good projector so sorry for my limited knowledge on the subject; other people here will have answers to your questions that is for sure. You seem to progress pretty well though.

8  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Affirmations on: July 09, 2005, 18:57:45
I have lived in an English speaking country (my first language is French)for a year and people with who I lived told me that I will have some dreams ''in English'' after some time and it happened. Maybe affirmations, if done often, might work after some period of times even if it is in a foreign language..... Maybe.... The only way we can know is if we try it; some may have better results than others of course. Try both and see what works best.

9  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / vegan vs. the meat/ right vs. wrong on: July 07, 2005, 22:29:47
Eating habits is an extremely touchy subject, and I also had in mind a similar example that you stated Reisender. jonmou, you are also right about the digestive system that cows have. But what I mean is that in this present modern overpopulated world, we can live without eating so much meat in our eating habits; basically, we should try to eat less meat. I do eat meat also but I try to see if there is other food that may be better for myself. If it is true that there is other protein sources other than meat that are much better for us, why not eat it! I drink a lot of soymilk now and eat a lot of vegetables and feel really good and healthy and I can consider myself lucky for that.

One huge problem also is that we are all disconnected from the products that we buy, eat, etc. we do not see where it is coming from, we do not kill our meat or grow our food; everything is centralized now. The way they raise animals and different agricultural plants are not being done in a natural way and this is what preoccupies me the most. We boost everything around us to make it bigger, faster, stronger so some people can get more $$. And of course, let's not talk about genetically modified food.... Think about it, with all the new technologies, everything should be cheaper right? That is not the case, many things that we can see now is being added with some funky ingredients that make it look like if it was natural. To eat ''real'' food is not affordable for many! (think about bio as an example). What is the most natural thing as become a luxary now; are we progressing? The way we modify all the food that we eat is also a huge issue that we have to resolve, and easier to say that it is, in the long run, more ''wrong'' than ''right.

Probably to live in harmony with nature and to fit adequately in the ecosystem where we live is the best approach maybe; hunters and gatherers are a really good example. Like we all know it, there is a huge restructuration that we have to go through if we want a better life for the future generations. We better start now.... Or we will be forced in the hard way later.... Everything is unstable on this planet right now and probably the ''yin-yan equilibrium'' will, I hope, get back pretty soon in our life; and go back to live an harmonious life with ''everything'' later....

Hey what's up everybody, there is one false association that we can often hear people talk about. Like we all know, proteins are an important thing to have in our diets, especially if you workout a lot. The problem is that many will think that they need to eat beef proteins to ''be strong'' like a beef (if you know what I mean....). Well, they should question themselves what the ''beef'' eats to become strong like that; the answer is not meat.... So this mean that meat it not essential in the diet. But beware, if you decide to become vegetarian, it is important to eat your daily dose of proteins everyday. This is the reason why cows and other huge animals (ex: elephants) eat so much....

11  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Publishing Your Book? on: June 23, 2005, 20:27:10
I also think this book should be published in different librairies; not a lot of people read E-Books probably because we are not use to it.... Amazon sell E-books and you should put it there also. Anyway, I am presently at around p.200 and think it is pretty good and an easy read so far. Also, there is always the option to print it.... But it is not the same has having the good old book format of course....

12  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Where is a good place to start? on: June 23, 2005, 20:12:34
I think that concentration is a tool and an important foundation for the rest. Mind taming (calming the ''monkey mind syndrome'') when trying to OBE, meditate, etc. is almost essential. Of course, easier said than done; it is a progressive approach, you need to practice daily if you can and want to see good results. If you're able to hold your mind still for 3 minutes, this is really good and this means you can do it for 10 mins also and more.

13  Our Ultimate Reality / Our Ultimate Reality / Question on Affirmations on: June 17, 2005, 19:38:38
Hey what's up Kevin, affirmations are an important thing to do, but there is more than that also that can be added. The saying ''Don't be a dreamer, be a doer'' is also very important; like James S says: "Act how you want to become and you will become how you act''. Set up goals and work so you can achieve them, never say to yourself that you are failling. Since you live in the U.S., you probably saw the movie of Rudy (Notre Dame football); it is a genuine example of how you can really transform your dreams into reality.

Well, my mother's boyfriend do not have too long left before he will ''go to the other side''; the doctor told my mother that he had less than 3 months.... He is so thin now.... Probably the best approach is that he prepares himself to leave and that he does it in an happy state of mind (easier said than done of course). I'll search some web sites that may help him on that. If you know some good one folks, it will be highly appreciated.
