some how got a double post here, and in the clearing of the double managed to loose all of the posts. Sorry.
Do have what I was able to salvage.

Well i have made it through most of the books recomended by this sight, coupled with native tradition, namely sweat lodges and Sundance, I have found a definite ability to heal myself and others.

I haven't told the Medicine Man yet.  Not sure why, nervous I guess, many like to stay within protocol, and who am I do say otherwise, maybe what I am doing is covered in due time and Im jumping the gun?
I know the medicine men can see both worlds, and my vision quest and sundance were mind bending, life altering experiences in there own right.  I'm thrilled and somehow feel alone at the same time.  I have also found that ceremonies and healing need a decompression time, how do I get grounded after?  I know how tradition says to get grounded, it takes awhile.  Is there a faster way to function.  Lastly I worry who to tell or how, people like to take advantage, and I have made a commitment to service.  In spite of the air of this topic I am not unhappy, quite the opposite,  these questions just weigh heavy on my mind.
Hello mgc1173,
The moment is now. That you have one that is called 'Medicine Man' and that this person is honestly revered and respected as such, should be sought for council. You will be tested for trueness and temper of spirit, and your journey will commence according to tribal custom.
Is how I feel it happening.

I've been in contact with the medicine man and will cultivate, with direction, what I have learned.  I am more than thankful for this site and Mr. Cooper and Mr. Ferson.  My life has changed beyond imagination from what it once was.  Growing up I didn't understand and really feared what I felt and saw because no one understood or really believed it.  This site was the first place and time that I felt I belonged...felt normal.  I can see both worlds, see other peoples memories as if they were my own.  I have'nt learned to communicate, its like they are motioning for me to do something but its fuzzy, except during ceremony.  I know finding my way here was no accident.  And would like to formally THANK YOU all for the support and direction.  Reading the books, finishing the Lessons is really just the begining, the quikening.  I guess we'll see where that rabbit hole leads now.  In tradition we have what is called Te'osh'pa (spelled how it sounds) which means extended family.  This is no different than our birth family.  I consinder this place part of mine.

I know some have had experience healing others and am curious if you felt "unusual" for several days, a week after, if so how was it dealt with.  Thanks for your time.  Good health, and good help to all.

Ah mgc1173 ,
Thank you.
When I realized what had taken place, (after the deleted double post) had lost your original, I can still hear the sound of 'Oh no'. echoing in my ears.
Happy for you in the following through with making contact with the elder.
You are experiencing a lack of 'opening and closing formalities' if you are experiencing after effects, of/from any healing protocols. Check out a few Chakra routines to get an idea of 'opening and closing' sessions. If you need more ideas, private message me for suggestions, that you can modify for your own use. Even a short 'I now enter sacred contact etc, for an opening, and a short 'I now close this contact, and leave with gratitude for the honor',  will suffice to return you to the physical realm, without any after affects..
I do describe numerous events experienced, in my blog posts.
That you find peace, honor and love through your efforts.
Be well
