Not all roses in the astral planes

I have had a problem with sharing some of my astral experiences with other explorers, as so many people seem to look to the astral for light and love and sweetness. There are plenty of sweet roses and fluffy kittens in the astral, but also thorns and claws.
I worry that if I bring up certain facts for discussion, some people will find it unpalatable and be offended. I and the topic will be dismissed as "negative".
Does any one else feel hesitant to discuss these things?
example: our astral contacts can and do lie to us when they feel like it.

The moderators of this site should correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the purpose of this site is to discuss Adrian's book, share our personal experiences and knowledge, debate ideas, opinions and beliefs, encourage, enlighten, empower, and assist each other along the Path. Therefore every topic is up for discussion, as long as we are civil and polite to each other.  Right! Moderators?

Yes! you are absolutely right "Sofie", just because someone is an inhabitant of, or has died and gone to the astral worlds does not make that person a saint. The only difference between a discarnate and incarnate being is that the discarnate is deprived of physical body. Other than that he or she is still the same being. If he/she was a liar, a cheat, or dishonest individual during the earthly existence, he/she will still remain the same person after death, until transformed, and proceed to the higher astral realms.

According to the "Western Wisdom Teachings", on average there are more vile, mischievous, deceptive, liars, and repugnant beings in the lower astral worlds than there are in the physical world, because undeveloped. They are always approaching unsuspecting sensitive humans, posing as spirit guides, or any of the ancient historic figures. And once they gain your trust, they show you their real character. In the astral world  a being could well easily appear or take on the form or shape of anything just by mere thought, so these less evolved beings and earth-bound spirits fool a lot of humans all the time.

You only have to turn on the evening news to hear a mother who has drowned, stoned, or slit the throat of all her young kids because she saw a vision, a spirit, or a voice told her to do so.

We should be very cautious of beings who pose as spirit guides, angels, etc. Like attracts like, we turn to attract these earth-bound spirits and low beings, base on our character and habitual negative thoughts. If we are a person of high moral character and uses common sense, we can easily unveil these spiritual impostors for what they are. We should never do anything just because a spirit told us so. We must always, always use our common sense when dealing with the astral world, because there is not a SAINT in every corner. For that reason, Ouija board is highly discouraged by the "Western Wisdom Teachings". No beneficent, advanced being or a spirit of a high moral character would ever communicate through an Ouija board.

There's a big difference between experiencing negativity and wanting to discuss it, and dwelling on negativity and wanting to shove it down people's throats.

From what I've read of your posts so far, I think you definitely have a positive outlook, and I feel you would be much more inclined to want to talk to people in order to learn from a negative experience rather than dwell on it.  

You have nothing to be concerned about if you wish to discuss your encounters here. None of us practice burying our heads in the sand.

You're absolutely right that the astral does have its thorns and claws, even though much of it is of our own making. But unless we can better understand why it is we are encountering such things, which can usually only be done by talking about it with others, we'll have a very hard time moving past it.

Are you familiar with the Seth/Jane Roberts material?  Seth originally came through the board.

As James has already stated, there is certainly no need to fear posting about any experience, situation or question that is remotely relevant to the book and the topics of these forums.

Everyone is here to share experiences and hopefully find answers. All we do ask for the benefit of all concerned is to treat each other with respect.
