I have a new poem that I would like to share,  I just discovered it, thanks to Jesse directing me to a book that had this in the front .

This is really brilliant.

"The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting
And cometh from afar;

Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,

But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home."

  - WILLIAM WORDSWORTH
   "Ode on intimations of Immorality from
    Recollections of Early Childhood"

I guess I will have to check out Willy Wordsworth , this poem is awesome.

Lots of love and blessings to All

 smiley    smiley    smiley

ps , I accidently typed " trailing clouds of gory, " yuk !!  Typo's can change a word so much!  That is really freaky!

Love and extra blessings after reading my awful typo.

Dear Freedom,

The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting
And cometh from afar;

Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,

But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home
.

This is amazing. Thank you. Smiley

Dear Laura
I am so glad you loved that poem too.! It gave me shivers of recognition of our trueness.

Now, here is the one, where I recognise the name of Ella Wheeler Wilcox ( 1850-1919)

"Solitude

Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone;
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
But has trouble enough of its own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, it is lost on the air;
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.

Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go;
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all, -
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink life's gall.

Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a large and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain."

Another beautiful poem.

One of my favorite songs is “Waiting (Reprise)” by George Michael

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjiXEGOW_gc

There ain’t no point in moving on
Until you’ve got somewhere to go
And the road that I have walked upon
Well it filled my pockets
And emptied out my soul

All those insecurities
That have held me down for so long
I can’t say I’ve found a cure for these
But at least I know them
So they’re not so strong

You look for your dreams in heaven
But what the hell are you supposed to do
When they come true?

There’s one year of my
life in these songs
And some of them are about you
Now I know there’s no way I
can write those wrongs
Believe me
I would not lie you’ve hurt my pride
And I guess there’s a road without you

But you once said
There’s a way back for every man
So here I am
Don’t people change, here I am
Is it too late to try again
Here I am

Love as always...

I've been a fan of this local band for a while now named AG Silver.  All of their songs are good but "All That To Say" is the one I will speak of here.  I don't have the lyrics at hand but you can listen to the song here.

Story of a very addicted Soul who broke through !

Heard this today, while sitting with a man who is considered many things in 'negative' terms...

I heard him while observing his Joy in blasting today ~

Dear All,

This morning I received an email from this group on YouTube. They are self-promoting their creations, so I was thinking about sharing it with you:

You need FIRE in your life

Hope you are having a great new year thus far! We wanted to share this new STRIVE video of the title track for our new album FIRE. We played on CBS's Urban Theater a couple week backs and have 5 new videos from it. This is the first of five, so more to come soon. Let me know what you think and if you have a new video, post it as a response to this video so Will, Micah & I can see it. Also, if you're into making your own videos and want to use FIRE as the soundtrack, you can download it here http://www.strivemusic.com/firedownload - then make sure you create a profile at www.strivemusic.com and upload the video so we we can share it with our friends.

Best,
Derick and the rest of STRIVE

This is their video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbIINX1EKow

Oh wow!!  Smiley

There's been a lot of activity here in this area: one of my life favourites. Julia I am still listening to the songs you posted, I love Van Morrison .. Brown Eyed girl?? are you kidding me?? what about Hazel eyed girl Wink    and Peter .. mhmmm a lot of eyes I see in here, eh??

Atici dear, I wonder which cord in you that song touches (warm hugs). Same for you Brandon... am I missing something here or I hear some existentialist nostalgia??

Michelle, I love that song!! I never knew who was singing it (talking about being spaced out..lol) That guy is amazing, he is so cool and good looking even in his majestic stance and his story is so moving, I have no words. I was listening to it at least 3 times.

Thank you Smiley

From My Heart” by Eric Johnson is another one of my favorite songs. This one gets me and takes me back each time I listen to it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W85-4cZGic8

              -From My Heart-
All these things we chase outside
Pull us down
Endless desire to give us joy
Can't be found
Catching up to get my breath in this fight
Something is about to stir and it feels right
From my heart

Working in a new mirage to grab onto
Climbing up another's fence, no better view
Where's my heart?

I can't say much
“Much” is just words; they're not real
Lead to the truth
Substance inside
I won't hide
From my heart.

So much has been said
Turn off your mind, learn to feel
Close to your breath, all that you need
All that's real

I just can't hide, hide from the truth
You describe
So break me down into my soul,
I return… to my heart.

Dear Michelle...

Thank you for the link to that song. I LOVED it! I think I heard it on a commercial before. commercials... I have my favorites because I really enjoy commercials! They also infuriate me. Some commercials lie so bad. I think to myself, "who the hell falls for this shit?"

Viva La Vida by Coldplay
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

This really is my favorite song.  I really didn't follow Coldplay before this album, which is inspired by Spain and very different from any of their previous works.  I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for sharing Brandon,

I really InJoy Coldplay ...

Laura, as you so aptly express, and I color, All colors create 'brown' ( the soil or earth) on this end of the picture, when you see brown it is the 'negative' (not quite clear) picture of the colors we choose to paint this negative or fill in your blanks photo. Choices  cool

Loving all the colors, levels, vibration, imagination, I am speaking in One language.

I chose to know Love no matter what happened in my life this time, as my level of expression this 'time' was BEing filled and overflowing with this one 'choice' into the next 'thing' ...

Choosing our seeds of change,

I am Love In the Change ~

I thought brown was dark orange? They say there are more colors in the Astral Realm. I don't see how this is possible. They must mean its more colorful!

Red-orange-yellow-green-cyan-blue-violet-pink-back to red again

its a cycle and there isn't room for any other colors, where would you put them?

However we have White-Black-Gray-Brown, these are seemingly outside of the cycle. Could there be more colors?

Peace
