Dear Adrian,
As always thanks for your help and knowledge. I realize sounds can have incredible influence on us. So I was wondering is there any poplular music that can influence us in different ways, and if so what kind of music/bands have what type of effects on us. For instance will certain types of songs or bands make us more energetic, focused, happy, positive, etc. I realize I didnt word this exactly how I wanted but I hope you will be able to answer it for me anyway. Thank you in advance for your response.

I think that goa-trance is made to raise certain energies in the listener. Myself I've found trance (electronic) to be very uplifting for me. I also found that not all people react to the same music in the same way. While trance music might bring up ecstatic trance-like feelings in me it may sound boring to someone else or even repulsive to others.
My suggestion would be - listen to all music with an open heart. Almost each kind of music talks to us in a different way. Some times we are in tune to listen to pop, sometimes to blues and when we want full energy we listen to energetic music like goa-trance, techno, metal, punk or any such music filled with energy. You just have to be open minded (be able to tune into any frequency) and you will find joy in every music.

I'm a musician and for me, emotionally, I just LOVED to listen to Chopin piano music.
For happy and energizing playing, I found Gypsy Jazz very nice, namely the 'Caravan' album of The Rosenberg Trio.
I think it's diffirent for all indeed; my mother dislikes fast playing for instance, while it sound exciting to me...

Hello bnk67, Thank you very much indeed for your kind remarks.
As you say, music can have a profound affect on our lives and our abilities to attract our wishes and desires because of the ability of music to raise our vibrations. Anything that raises our vibrations instantly makes us more "attractive" of the things we desire. But music is a very personal thing. In broad terms people might prefer pop music or jazz or classical music. Within those categories there are different groups, composers and then within those specific types of music. There are types of music that not only raise vibrations they also alter brainwave frequencies which in turn alters levels of consciousness. Chanting and drumming is well known for this. Another physical thing that can raise vibrations are fragrancies such as incense, which is why many people use them during meditation. In ancient times vast quantities of Frankincense and Myrrh where burnt for this reason. There are many ways both physical and mental that can raise vibrations and in turn increase the effectiveness and speed of of attraction. Best regards, Adrian. It is however very indivi

Here are some lyrics I'd like to make you discover I think they are great.
These lyrics are from TOOL: "[Parabol] So familiar and overwhelmingly warm This one, this form I hold now.
Embracing you, this reality here, This one, this form I hold now, so Wide eyed and hoopeful.
Wide eyed and hoopefully wild. We barely remember what came before this precious moment, Choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside... This body holding me, reminding me that I am not alone in This body makes me feel eternal. All this pain is an illusion.
[Parabola] We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment, We are Choosing to be here, right now. Hold on, stay inside... This holy reality, this holy experience. Choosing to be here in... This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal all this pain is an illusion.
Alive!
Twirling round with this familiar parable. Spinning, weaving round each new experience. Recognize this as a holy gift and celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing.
This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality. Embrace this moment. Remember: We are eternal, all this pain is an illusion."
This song places me in a great mood.
There is another one from Angra It's titled "Spred your fire"
[The crusader meets a Jewish Rabin; an old blind oracle with frightening looks who acknowledges that the voyager has been chosen by God to bring light to the eyes of people who can't see. He hands the crusader a book of blank pages eagerly shouting, "Spread your Fire! burn the temples down!".]
[The oracle's voice resounded in his ears lunatic and sensless for years.]
"Woke up to life not long ago You think your mind is in control? God will take it back someday
It's not so hard to understand They say the world has good and bad Father Universe brings Love and Hate
Glorious - You'll lead the way To free the world from these chains Glorious - Your story now begins Fire!
Unleash the angel of the Light Thank him for bringing us to life Lucifer is just a name!
We are the only ones to blame Just look around, I'm not insane! Satan is a child of our Mind
Glorious - Don't be afraid To lead the way with thy sword Glorious - You are the chosen one. Go!
Spread your fire
Salve ara, salve victima De passionis gloria Qua vita mortem pertulit Et morte vitam reddidit."
There are many things I disagree within this one but there are also great words
And to finish, these words from Dream Theater, from the song "Take The Time"
"You can feel the waves coming on (It's time to take the time) Let them destroy you or carry you on (It's time to take the time) (If you're) Fighting the weight of the world No one can save you this time Close your eyes, You can find all you need in your mind"

Hello Lyes! Nice lyrics indeed. The words were like re-affirmation text for me and I think anyone who has evolved out of good vs evil religious dogma can appreciate them, particularly Christianism. Music is just a blessing to the world in general and it gets better when you have beautiful lyrics to go along with it. I like this song by Enya and I've put it here with all the da da das ... Wild Child by Enya Ever close your eyes ever stop and listen ever feel alive and you've nothing missing you don't need a reason let the day go on and on Let the rain fall down everywhere around you give into it now let the day surround you you don't need a reason let the rain go on and on What a day what a day to take to what a way what a way to make it through what a day what a day to take to a wild child Only take the time from the helter skelter every day you find everything's in kilter you don't need a reason let the day go on and on Every summer sun every winter evening every spring to come every autumn leaving you don't need a reason let it all go on and on What a day what a day to take to what a way what a way to make it through what a day what a day to take to a wild child What a day what a day to take to what a way what a way to make it through what a day what a day to take to a wild child What a day what a day to take to what a way what a way to make it through what a day what a day to take to Da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da what a way what a way to make it through Da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da Da-da-da Da-da-da-da-da-da What a way what a way to make it through what a day what a day to take to a wild child what a day what a day to take to a wild child

I think I'll listen to some Enya songs these days to know what it sounds like.
Music is simply great. When you associate the power of music and the power of words altogether you can make people cry. That's the level I'd like to reach.

Hello Awakened soul
Yes it was very personal, it seems you didnt like it and I respect that. You know before posting it I thought some might not like it because of something like " O muslims send salutations upon Muhammed ". But then I thought no, or at least I expected that you might like the idea of different people speaking different languages, perhaps not all muslims are united singing for God. You have the right of not liking it since it seems islamic, but at least see the positive side of it. For me if there are some words that irritate me in a what I feel a good song, I would simply change some of the words so that it suits my personality. Here I would rather go and say " O Lord send salutations upon all souls or upon me or human kind". Or I could go and say send salutations upon Jesus. That was expected from the singer since he is muslim and he might liked to show his love to his Prophet. And you too could go and show love to whom you like by playing with the words. In life we will always going to modify things to be comfortable with.

Hi Marwa, You seem to assume that I didn't like it because it was about muslims and the Islam. Although it's true that I'm no fan of religion, I was mainly referring to the music itself - the sounds, the composition, melody, the emotional sound quality. That was not my taste. Personally, being more interested in instrumental music, I don't really care much about words in comparison with the concept of combining certain notes to pass on a certain feeling or to create a certain atmosphere - that is what I care about and when that is being done in a certain way, it can give me a very special feeling. In comparison, words are almost completely meaningless to me and I use them because it's, unfortunately, necessary to communicate with other people, like I'm doing right now over the internet. So please don't be offended, I can most definitely understand why you or other people like it - it seems to have a heavenly atmosphere for these people, but the music itself just isn't my taste. In other words - it's not heaven for me
