Hello DH,

I find this levitation discovery most interesting, indeed.

Not being a scientist, I have no special outlook for this, ...  I don't even much inderstand how it works.

But I am very curious how are they going to apply it to our everyday technology. I guess, time will show.

My grandmother showed us grandchildren a levitation technique when we were small and lately(last few years) I wake up at night levitating,it also happened about 13 years ago when I left my body and looked down and saw myself then floated to the kitchen and got stuck on a chair.I find myself leaving my body alot when Im sleeping.An ex boyfriend said he saw me standing by the window and looked and I was also in bed,a friend said I showed up in her living room one night when she was up late and she tryed to talk to me and I said I was asleep.Then another friend said i showed up at a womens circle when i really was sick on the couch.Very strange it is this levitation thing though.
It scares me every time.The other night I fell asleep and woke up on the coffee table but my head and legs were not touching the table.I was straight as a board and light as a feather like granny taught us to say!!!

That's amazing!!  Why scared? I would have sooo much fun with this, have you tried to train it? When I was small I also used to sleep walk and get to impossible heights ..and in some cases I would even be aware - this all ended when my middle sister woke me up abruptly then my with my Mom scared me with stories such as that I might walk on the roof then fall down and such and it all ended at some point. Now after learning about these phenomena and the fact that they are more normal than we think and that we all are born with these gifts I look at everything different.

Perhaps you can perfect your Grandma technique, then you can teach us

Hello Mina,
My husband walks and does real strange things in his sleep.I myself can only recall one such time when I was a child.I say scarey because,well the OBEs are not so scarey,but its the levitation thats frightening,cause sometimes i think its an evil spirit or something making it happen,and it actually is painful at times.And i have seen some very real beings beside me. But the last time it happened my mother was beside me glaring at me real evil like and pinching my hand.When I was able to gain control she was not there so I went to her room and she was asleep.It makes me wonder if at other times she really was standing over me with a butcher knife or if it was real at all.

The levitation I have no control of right now,but as a child I could do lots of things without thinking about it.What granny taught us was to lie on the floor,and the other girls put two fingers each under me and said the words "light as a feather,stiff as a board"over and over and I was the only one to rise.I would go as high as 3 or 4 feet .Once I went to the ceiling.She also taught me table tilting and I made the table go all the way down the hall and back into the living room where it usually stayed.
She taught me alot of groovy things!!! I miss her so much.

Dear Sabatha,

Hmmm... what your memories about your Mom are? Were you feeling safe with her at all times? Perhaps there are some repressed memories associated with fear of levitation.
Have you tried journaling ...in the way that you let it out and see what`s pouring ..in a way that when you go at it you know that nobody is going to read that ..is something just between you and the journal?!

Like you I have very fond memories of my Grandfather. He raised me as my parents were gone to work. In retrospect I got the best deal ever, of a wonderful fairytale childhood. My Grandfather was a man of indescribable unconditional love and self-sacrifice for the people he loved, and I think I have never felt with anyone as safe as I used to be with him.

Yes I have tryed the journaling thing and it seems i hold alot back and dont write what I really feel.my mother was very abusive to me and still is while i am here taking care of her.But I read your post on forgiveness and I do forgive her but sometimes its hard to forget.
Your Grandfather sounds awsome and yes you were very blessed to spend that time in a fairytale atmosphere as I believe all children deserve to be alowed to be children and have a beautiful fantasy where they can learn imagining techniques that are crucial to a childs progress.
Being an artsy child I lived in my own fantasy world that took me away from the abuse and such.I believe a good imagination is truly a gift to behold and flourish.

Sabatha thank you, yes we are very fortunate to find in a group of people who really care for eachother. Julia, the wonderful Julia can share a lot about lesson in forgiving Mothers.

Yes I know/ have experienced a lot about forgiveness. This is such a subtle thing. We think we forgive yet those people are still stuck to us. Stubborn cases such as your Mom and my ex.. will be there in our hair until is time we grasp a lesson. The thing is that nobody can tell us what that lesson is supposed to be. But one day, as long as our hearts remain pure we suddenly perceive. Then our tormentors just fade... I have a feeling same will happen with your Mom.
One day all that you will want with the depth of your whole being would be just peace for your Mom. Forget about forgiveness, kindness, love, care, sacrifice and so on. All of these are just ..mechanisms that help us see that the most precious thing we can give to another is "peace". True peace for their souls. At that moment the gates burst open.

Allowing is the key to "fore~give~ness"...ah the wonderful enlightenment about that subject you will find here among these deeply aware spirits , as I have.

The path of least resistence.

It is when you allow others to be what they are while you remain unaffected.

It is when you begin to BECOME the "effect", and not the "affect~ed"...

Allowing enables you to become a vessell of Magick in all circumstances because you become the catalyst for all situations in your life... and that awareness appears magickal to others and inspires them...

In truth; you are ALWAYS the catalyst anyway...but allowing is the begining of honing your power to be it on "purpose" , "By", and "With" purpose.

Sound practical...? Yes it's Practical Magick. Not esoterical enough...? Try it and see how enchanted life becomes.

I say..."if one chooses to be an abuser...you do not have to choose to be abused by their abuse".

If their misery comforts them, then let them be comforted.

While your wishing as Laura says, ie: your "holding them in the light" is for their peace only, and, consequently ,all is well with your soul...

How is this accomplished?

If you zest to seek the best, take people as you find them... and expect the same in return... if they choose to abuse...you choose to walk away and emotionally detach until their vibration becomes harmonious, all the while focusing on what is important to YOU, while they work it out.

That is their problem not yours...because their story is an inaccurate version of who you know you are!

...at the deepest level they know it too, they are only fighting to hold onto the illusion.

Ps. To all 'others" no Im not considering cross dressing lol... but what if I did? If it comforts you to think that is not manly then by all means be comforted while I make a million dollars with my sense of personal power and your kids buy my albums. I think I would be well comforted myself with your discomfort which fuels your childrens comfort... wow the mirror just keeps reflecting and reflecting...the vibes that are harmonious with you...not parallel...rather the plug that fits your outlet...the femineine to your masculine...the other side of the coin that just never goes away dammit!

Hello Sabatha, sorry Im late I just noticed this topic.

Are you a witch or something? Or do you practice magick? Is that you in the picture?

Also there is nothing to be afraid of Sabatha. I have done some levitating myself but cant control it. I havent done one in a long time and I could only go about a few inches high and fall back down a few seconds later. I thought it was pretty cool, why would you be afraid?
