The book '' Our Ultimate Reality " was gifted to me by a friend.

It came to me at a time when I was totally fed up with the whole ' spiritual ' path.
It felt like sorting through a massive pile of manure looking for the gem everyone said was  there.

So I read it, and thought - to be honest " Yeah yeah - blah blah blah - AGAIN " been there - read that - heard that. It was like reading a review of all the older stuff I had studied and the newer hype being pushed now since the Secrets released.
But I kept going back to it.
It was what I needed and why it appeared. I needed this review to get re-centered on what I believed and to realize I had allowed myself to become very jaded by the spiritual mega-business that had grown since I began this journey.

After several readings of it I began to feel better inside, hope returned and understanding that his book made for beginners, a very easy read and comprehensive understanding of what appeared to have become so complicated.

It didn't " change my life " it just brought some order to it once again. I was aware of most of the material in it. It is also a beautiful merge of the new sciences and old spiritual sciences, finding a working relationship.

I thought this thread would give all a chance to refocus on where we are going and what we started out hoping to accomplish. What I found most comfortable was that it kept returning me to myself for the answers I was seeking, then and now. No teaching, no self appointed Guru of the  " latest " in new coaching - just refreshing return to self.
In this age we are told to go here, read this, watch this video. Yet in most we are being told to turn inward, where I started to look decades ago. So much outward focus for turning inward - ya think?

I gifted the book to my children and said " this is what I have been doing '' while you guys called a ' hippie ' and now they are ready to drink it in themselves.
This isn't about the " Great Adrian "' don't think he would allow it anyway.
Its just a simple thanks and expression of what I got from his book, and appreciation for saying so simply what others are complicating deliberately to make a buck of the sincere seekers out there.

Thanks for all your thoughts.

I hope no-one gets this wrong, but I have just been re-reading a Dan Brown book called "Angels and Demons", and that is where he goes on about the rift between science thinking and god thinking, and how it can be put together.

and that has been very helpful. So many people dismiss his books, as if it is mainstream book then it is not cool.  Some people think they are above reading a top novel.

There is a lot a info about  religion v god v science... it is all put together rather well.

I think it is worth reading,  just my 2 million cents worth wink

And I can hardly wait to read  Adrians book. when I find it in a bookshop in australia
