Hello To All,
That humans function within the gender principle, is a given. Yet there are such mixed emotions on the how and what of it, as pertains to humans, that serious thought needs to be applied to the concept. The mere mention of 'that's a man', or 'that's a woman', automatically shifts one into category or classification mode. Some times humorously at anothers expense. But is it really understood by the thinker or user of those terms, on what is meant, besides a him or her thought!
While there are certain differences between male and female emotions and how handled, there is more 'in common' between the two sex's than is commonly acknowledged or admitted.
There is ever so much more that could be written here, but for now, will keep it short.
Also femininity and masculinity while generally applied to the female/male form, and from what I've read / heard and feel, is grossly misapplied in numerous instances.  Boy's don't cry or girl's just don't act like that, are starters for what I feel is an incorrect application. Of course, the shedding of tears while watching a tender event or scene by a male is taboo, no real male sheds tears, right! Who needs a sissy title!  How about female executives or wrestlers? Hey, a woman belongs in the kitchen and taking care of the kids, right! Slowly balance is taking place with both genders.
That's what it's all about, balance. Fairness, equality, common sense applies with many, or lacks with many, depending on circumstances. Feminine/masculine traits show up in various ways with each gender. Now I won't presume to speak for any female here, so will stick to my male biased  perspective of what is said here. If one is male, and still has a modicum of testosterone left in the body, and a pleasing female form passes by, male traits will or can rapidly set in. Having, as Jimmy Carter once stated 'lustful thoughts', is not necessarily wrong, but if any male aggressiveness kicks in and applied, that is wrong. Have noticed the facial expressions on some females subjected to unasked for looks and whistles by coworkers, some were pleased, some showed disgust. Have overheard comments though by some females on the passing by of a male, 'wow, look at that ass', indicating some what, that hormones and testosterone flow in both sexes. There is often though, the overlooking and feeling of the soul beauty involved. The intermingling of emotions and energies other than the momentary pleasure of the sex act.
So am I so wrong in enjoying the viewing a rose and inhaling it's fragrance with delight! Is it weakness to have ones breath momentarily held by the beauty of a sunrise or sunset! Try to explain the stage fright of delivering a child with the joy and emotions of the moment.
Beauty is beauty, regardless if meditation, animal, plant, landscape or a human in involved. If what ever I'm viewing and experiencing at the time is pleasing, why not enjoy that moment. The  femininity/masculinity emotions chemistry, being released in any given moment, can only be coped with by letting it happen or hiding them.
Our choice of which one to allow.
Males seem to frown at tears in a male, even some females view it as a weakness.
So be it.
Supposedly that's my female side manifesting, do I care if you observe me in those modes of awe, nope not one bit, even though being seen in that mode is not fully understood by all.Must admit though that there were a few occasions that I had to seek privacy to let the tears of joy or sorrow flow unimpeded. For what ever the mismatch reasons of energies involved, am unable to share the emotions of some events with another present.
Oh well, another period of learning to face.
So I feel that some semblance of balance deep within, of the gender principle working for me. How is it working for you!
Be Well

Good Evening Talker, cool

Wonderfully shared and beautifully stated. Thank you and I appreciate the humor and candor here.

We've all had our private moments of tears. I appreciate it when 'men' cry openly. I sense the genuineness of the soul being shared and present. Understanding.

Love to you always, Be Well and InJoy Being Talker,

Dear Talker,

Thank you for an excellent perspective.

It is true that males and females try so hard all their lives to live up to their stereotypes, both in order to conform to the expectations of family, friends and society, amd to fulfil their childhood programming of what males or females should or should not do, often resulting in much misery in the process.

From a very young age children are given their Barbie dolls or Action Man/GI Joe or whatever as a role model which they subconsciously live up to all of their lives.

The TV constantly reinforces these archetypes and stereotypes with "beauty products" for women and "macho products" for men.

I personally think the beauty industry with its countless products containing chemical compounds with impressive sounding names - most of which are contrived - has become laughable. Not content with addressing beauty issues that could exist, they have turned to inventing vanity issues where none previously existed.

If it was left to them each women would have a cupboard full of beauty products, and would spend the entire day applying them.

Over the centuries even simple stereotypes have appeared such as women must have long hair and men must have short hair, and women must wear skirts and men must wear trousers etc. Admittedly, since "transvestites" have "come out of the closet", these steretypes do not always hold up Smiley

But the point is this - what is wrong with simply being a human in a physical body here for a physical experience on Earth?

What people do not realise is that the more they identify with their body, and what it "should" look like, the more they attract the very things they wish to avoid like ageing, weight gain, skin issues etc.

If people would stop identifying with their body, and started identifying with Source, God, within, everything would change.

In Love and Light,

Adrian.

Hi all,

How do you people look at a sex operation?

I play guitar and have this dvd with a male teacher on it. I also regularly visit the internet forum associated with the teachings. At some point, there was a message of the author's partner asking everyone to send back the dvd and they would all get a new one (new version) in return. I didn't understand this and kept the dvd because I thought it was fine the way it was.

Later, it all became clear: the male teacher was now suddenly a woman and probably didn't want all users to have 'her' on dvd as a male.

The teachings are still great though, but I admit I personally don't know what to think of this. I'd never say bad things about the teacher's sex change, you know, that he's crazy or something similar, because I don't know what it's like to feel like he did. But still.... to undergo such surgery is something to horrible for me to think of...

Hello Awakened Soul,

First of all we must always respect the freewill of every individual, and never, ever judge.

For every person that undergoes "gender reassignment surgery", there are 10 or 100 who are living in misery because they feel "trapped" in a body of the "wrong" gender, and do not have the courage and/or money to address their situation.

It has been proven that the brain of transexual people is different to non-transexual people, just as it is with homosexual people for example. None of these "conditions" arise out of "perversion" of any kind.

These people are only considered to be "abnormal" because they do not conform to the stereotypes of what society considers to be "normal".

My own view is that they are here to experience and overcome these situations as part of the evolution of their Higher Selves, and their brain differences are the outer manifestation of this.

Ultimately of course we are all androgynous as is Source in Whose image we are made - gender is simply a convenience of the physical world for perpetuation of the species.

Ultimately we are all Perfect, because we are aspects and expressions of the same Divine Perfection.

I suggest that you look at the teacher as a free Spirit, beyond gender, and accept the teachings for their quality in their own right.

Always look to a persons Spirit - not their outward physical, temporal appearance or preferences.

In Love and Light,

Adrian.

Greetings all,

A friend of mine from high school had a sex change. She spent the last thirty years fighting with drug and alcohol addictions, and has never been happy since all this took place. Although a lot of her addiction was related to her social pressures and non acceptance, I told her the last time I saw her. " You know, I know this is hard for you and always has been, but there were alot of choices to be made on how you handled it. SO your addictions are not the cause of this, it is your personal choices that have made your life so miserable."

I feel the truth of male and females ' issues ' it is a comfort zone for most people. They may bitch about it, even declare their hatred for it, but they would not leave it if the chance was granted them by God. In the misery they know what to do- how to act, and what is expected of them.
Even my friend, she fell into the ' norm ' of her changes. Psychologists told her of all the problems she would face, what to expect, and she lived it to the letter of the advice.
We all have the choice to engage or rise above the pressures that life set upon us.
Most homosexuals I know that miserable are so because they are always pushing acceptance on others of their sexuality.
" You don't like me because I am gay! " No, I don't like you because you are obnoxious about it and will not accept I am OK with it or not. Truth is most do not care one way or the other if your gay.

Spirit knows no sex as Adrian points out so well. It just is.

WithIN Love

Hello,

Thanks for answering Adrian and zensunni7.

About being gay: I can understand why some people don't like the idea of two males having sex because of anal sex, which indeed seems less hygienically. I mean, two women don't really have that 'issue' and I've noticed that women in general are more touching eachother anyway, so the barrier seems lower to go a step further. They also kiss eachother on the cheek when meeting, which most males don't do.  Exceptions are, for instance, these Italian guys in mob movies Smiley

Anyway, I agree with the don't judge part of your messages, but, like I said, I can also understand why some people have mixed feelings about gay men.

It is understandable but misguided at the same time.

People should simply accept others as they are and respect their choices, which, in the case of "gay" people, is not so much a choice as much as a way of life.

In Love and Light,

Adrian.

Quote
Sex: Let’s Get Intimate
by Michelle Rogers

Sex. We think about it a lot, but we rarely talk about it. Most of us are pretty darn shy when it comes to discussing what happens between the sheets (or wherever else we might be having sex). It’s really too bad, because it’s the most natural thing in the world. Yes, sometimes the primary purpose is procreation, but the act itself is also important – as a source of pleasure and to deepen the connection we share with our partner.

Sex is also good for us. Good sex promotes health and well-being, boosting chemicals in the body that protect against disease. Research also shows that sex can help ease joint and muscle pain, combat depression, promote heart health, and lengthen the life span. (Be sure you’re having safe sex, though!)

Regrettably, we often feel we don’t have the time or energy for sex, let alone good sex. In fact, at least one third of American couples experience a lack of sexual desire. Not surprising given the stress we confront daily and the pace at which we move through our day. We’ve got so many commitments – work, family, community activities, sports, etc. – that sex is an afterthought. And when we do have sex, it can become rather mechanical. Our bodies are going through the motions, but our minds are somewhere else and our hearts aren’t open.

Obviously people have unique needs when it comes to sex – more passion, more variety, and perhaps just more sex, plain and simple. One of the key needs that surfaces, though, is the need for intimacy – to feel connected physically and mentally (and even spiritually) to one’s partner. But achieving a deeper level of intimacy is often blocked by our being uncomfortable with sex, not trusting ourselves and/or our partner, and not letting go.

Hello All,
Well now, an interesting topic, yet rarely gone into 'depth' wise. The word (sex) is mentioned at least once, in 57 posts in this forum, out of a total of 8118 posts, a minuscule quantity. Would venture to say though, that if looked at from another perspective, (of how many lives were negatively affected) in some way, shape or form, from sex related incidents, those numbers would be radically changed. Sexual energy is a powerful force in many, if not all, lives.  Do personally believe, that some wars had roots based in some way, on sex or lack of it. Nominal sex education from the parental level in many homes (was / is), sad to say, lacking, for various reasons. I don't have, nor pretend to have, a true answer (if there is one), but to just ignore the subject, is asking for trouble, in marriages and raising children.
How that energy is expressed or repressed, is (where / how) many problems commence. Many factors contribute to the misuse of sexual energy, religion, religious upbringing, ignorance, stupidity, meanness, and openness are part of it. There are more of course. Transmuting sexual energy into usable outlets, rather than repressing them, would be the safest and best, for many reasons, and is another topic that needs light. Ok, ok, so I blog, read, do oil painting, learnt new skills, took evening college classes, and post on OUR. Satisfied now.  rolleyes

Hey J and D,
!8 seconds to find the word sex , 4 seconds to find the total posts, and lots of thinking for the post itself.  tongue
Humorus yet serious subject. Ah the tales on the many times I shock some seeking words of wisdom in the matter. The most rib tickler was being told 'no, sex is not the answer to all ills'. Gads just give it a chance.
Love ya guys for the true spirit here.
Stop laughing so I can finish here.

Why yes I did, but I am stuck under my desk.

Seriously humorous indeed. Sex is like God, more theory's and idea's than facts and understandings.
Raised catholic left me with the priests and nuns in my psyche telling me it would fall if I played with it. They were wrong, so very wrong. The church is a tricky old witch - she always knew she could not rid us of our sexual desires, so they chose to try and divert them, turning a blind eye to homosexuality was a key element of its equation for control of clergy.
Sex seems to get divided into - sex or lovemaking - one primeval the other evolved, according to theory anyway. Yet both are expressions of the same energy, just filtering through different perceptions.
I think sexual expressions serves the purposes of those doing it, and like all life ~like will attract like. Same vibrations will find same, even the illusion of it may seem otherwise. Women that prefer ' bad boys ' are ' bad girls ' behind the mask of gullibility, and vise versa.  The fingers of blame are deflections.

Its a conspiracy I tell you!!!

I like sex, it is a great experience in these bodies. I think it is a part of why we come here and desire this experience. I don't apologize for liking it, nor allow myself to be feel guilt. The battle of the sexes turns fine without me in it.
Love Ya All
