We are not all going to be one thing. The idea that we evolve into a nebula of mist of consciousness is ridiculous. You're supposed to be your own thinking person with your own thoughts and desires and your own body. I eat meat now and I don't think their is anything wrong with it. It's just an experience. You people amaze me. You don't want to fit in and act like everyone else in a society but then you crave to destroy your ego and thus extinguish yourselves. You also want everyone else to do it to so we all become one boring formless thing. I'm glad I'm not part of your cult anymore. Animals suffer no matter what. Animals kill each other and animals do not know how to evolve into the nebula mist. They don't know how to become humans either. If they don't die by the pain of metal then they'll suffer old age. Which one is better?

As it is, you are reading the post "through your own lens" and responding as if it is not so filtered.
We are not here, on Earth, to "destroy" the Ego - that is impossible - but to Subjugate the Ego. And yes, I do write about this in my book as well as several Newsletters.
"Enlightenment" can be stated in many ways - all ultimately meaning the same. I like the Buddhist definition of becoming and Arahant.
In order to attain Enlightenment, and hence our reason for Being on Earth in broad terms, one must:
1. To transcend anger/hate
2. To transcend desire/greed
3. To transcend ego/delusionIt is the Conscious, Rational, Ego Mind that tells people to "do" things, "try" things and to "think" about things. These lead to desire/greed, anger/hate and delusion.
The Ego Mind is utterely powerless, and can only ultimately mislead resulting in the misery and suffering we sadly see so much of today.
When we neutralise the Ego, we Live in the Now, In and As Source Mind - which is Infinitely Powerful, Infinitely Loving and Infinitely Wise and Knowledeable.
When we attain this state, we do not "lose" anything, but we Gain Every-Thing. We become more Conscious and Aware than most coult possibly imagine until attaining this State.
And believe me - attain it we must. Only then does Higher Self no llonger need to send Personalities - incarnations - to Earth and become a Complete Spiritual Being, residing in Spheres of Life that cannot be comprehended from an Earthly state.
You may eat whatever you wish, but as long as you see Sentient Beings as a means to gratify the senses, regardless of the suffering caused and termination of the Life path of that animal, then you will not progress Spiritually.
Animals Live in Perfect Harmony with their environment and sphere of Being unless Humans interfere with eiether them or their habitat.
I have total respect for All Life - even single celled organisms, and would never, ever harm any form of Life, for any reason. Any creature can share my home and garden if they wish.
