A new project, an internet-based
Encyclopedia of Life, has just been launched. It will be documenting all the life forms on Earth, and unraveling the mystery of the tremendous variety of life expression and manifestation in our physical world.
“The free Encyclopedia would focus mainly on animals, plants and fungi with microbes to follow, blending text, photographs, maps and videos in a common format for each.” It will thus document and reference all the living species on Earth, which is about 1.8 million at the moment. Right now only a few demonstration pages exist. So one should be watching this site as it will start to grow.
