Hello Adrian and All,
I am at the airport now and am heading home from Iowa. I had a great time visiting Maharishi University of Management. I will post later on how it all went.
Thank You Adrian for that response on DMT. I am really interested in trying this substance out. Is there any way I can contact any of these places where there are Ayahuasca Expeditions? I will be visiting my home country - Colombia - for two whole months during my summer vacation. Is DMT prohibited in this country as well? If I cannot purchase it or find it anywhere, I would like instructions on how to make it. I would also need guidance to make sure that I am taking it correctly, and to be safe while ingesting it.
I'm not into drugs in general, but this drug seems so special that it is even in our brain. I would really like to expand mind with this substance to just get a taste of the inner realities and to also have that purging of the negative.
Thanks in advance

Hi Laura, Thank you so much. My schedule has been quite busy this school year with the kids to say the least, but I do still lurk here quite a bit. I just haven't had much time to post. It took about 30 minutes just to write this post because of having to stop frequently, hehe. There's not too many forum sites I visit frequently, but out of all of them, this one is my favorite. The other sites I visit frequently are: The Astral Pulse Iparte The CrowHouse Evolver Summer vacation is right around the corner with the kids, so I'm sure I'll be able to post more often. Oh and congratulations on getting moderator. I think Adrian made an excellent choice considering how much you have contributed for the benefit of all here. Thank you my dear friend Like you not much time on other Forums for me and especially now ...lol... all my love Laura

Beloved Friend I am very happy to hear about your Maharishi University of Management experience and eager to hear more about it. I know in Toronto there are spiritual circles where Ayahuasca is done in a control environment and I was invited many times yet (1) I do not feel like barfing my insides out ..lol.. and (2) I will under no circumstance willingly knock myself off from spiritual levels - as every intervention outside of Grace (through own will) does that. Yet I heard it helped (Ayahuasca) rehabilitate many lost to society souls so whatever everybody feels doing I suppose is ok. I personally do not feel doing it. Purging the negative can be a lot of hard work and can involve a lot of heartbreak yet is a very rewarding path for myself. Especially when I later on faced with helping others who are still babies at going through what I already have. By all means do what your heart tells you. all my love Laura

Dear Explorer, I am really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit with the Maharishi University. Now you have a Feel for what it is all about all you have to do is Follow Your Heart If you Google "Ayahuasca Expeditions" I think you will find plenty. They are becoming suprisingly popular. Yes DMT has the highest "scheduling" in the USA, but that is only because they "schedule" everything To me, cannabis is a herb - it grows in Mother Nature" same with "shrooms" - so how can anything given to us by the Divine be "bad" in any way? But you can still get thrown in to prison for using them. The funny thing is "magic mushrooms" - which can also be a profound experience from what I have read - grow all over the place in the Autumn around here, yet they are still scheduled in the UK as a "class A drug". It is a crazy world we live in - it is all going to change. Here is a funny yet true story. Every year we hang bird feeders in the trees - it is a Beautiful site to see the wide variety of birds enjoying it - which are full of "mixed bird seeds". When I was out in the garden in the Summer last year there was this plant which had grown and I had not planted myself - it was about a foot high - and I said to myself -I know what this is - it is cannabis <lol> And I just stood there looking at a cannabis plant growing under the trees in my own garden beneath the bird feeders Of course I left it there - I never harm plants - to follow its course. It only lasted until the weather got colder. But here is the thing - if the "authorities" had seen it growing there for some reason, I would have been arrested and charged with "growing an illegal substance" <lol> No wonder the birds seemed to be so happy As for the DMT Expeditions - they are the full experience under the guidance of Shamans - the way they have been doing it for thousands of years. They call it the "Sacred Vine". "Psilocybin" in "magic mushrooms" and "mescalin" in the Peyote cactus are closely related to DMT. In the North Americas the indiginous people use Peyote instead of Ayahuasa under similar conditions and for the same purposes. I think Terrence McKenna wrote a lot about cultivating "magic mushrooms". You need to choose the right expedition though - they vary alot and in some places it is becoming somewhat commercialized. Do a lot of research and make the equiries first. I think most are in Peru, but you would want to choose one that is by true indiginous natives in the jungle. If your Heart says do it, and you have the money, then go for it. I will say this though - I have read many accounts of Ayahuasca expeditions, and almost no one comes back the same person that they were before. It is apparently a highly Spiritually Transforming experience. Many people come back healed of all sorts of ailments but most come back with that "Connectedness" and Reverence for Life. Of course you do not need DMT to achieve that. We can reach that Divine State of Being in many ways - indeed - This Is Why We Are Here. Lots of Love, Adrian.

By all means do what your heart tells you. all my love Laura My Dearest Laura, I have never been tempted by Ayahuasca myself. It is apparently a very intensely purgative experience, as you say, which begins with extreme vomiting - had enough of that - which the Shamans say is the "negative first being purged by the body". Then the DMT kicks in and goes on all night until sunrise. I have seen videos of people on Ayahuasca expeditions, under DMT, and although they are not aware of their surroundings - which merge in to All - the look on their faces is one of sheer wonderment and bliss. They say afterwards that there is no "space" or "time" yet they feel at One With The Trees, Birds, The Divine. This of course is our natural state of Being, but those under DMT experience this for a few hours - although they never fully lose it. And yes - many report that the experience was so profound that they just want to share with others - but of course "others" do not understand - they think it is just a "psychadelic, drug induced trip". With Lots and Lots of Love, Adrian.

I have researched DMT - sounds risky LOL. Spirit molecule, God particle, this theory has been around for thousands of years. I encountered the idea of Super cells in studying original Yoga. Two cells that wander in the body until they meet - if they ever meet. When they do they create more super cells until they replace all others. It was said that meditation works as a call to them to meet. These super cells would make us immune to disease and put us into immortality - or at least living for a very very long time.
The use of drugs, natural or otherwise seems to me to be a desire to achieve the final evolution,to reach the apex of our growth and spiritual potential. Reaching that state of perfection we are told is our goal. A noble quest for a life I feel. But my experiences and the results of them have shown me that perfection is not a final achievement - there is nothing final about me. It took me awhile to wrap my mind around the idea that perfection required me to accept that it is never reached as we perceive it to be. That there is no drug, herb, plant or practice that will take me to the ultimate state of my design, because reaching a state of enhanced Being will always open the door to the next potential dimension of achievement. There will always be a new horizon to walk towards. I will never be finished, never done, never at full potential. I can stand still in a state of dis-ease, meander along, run towards it , even quantum leap to the next horizon, but I will find myself within a new adventure of growth and evolution. Our skills and our practices train us for this - to land onto the next surface, find our balance and hit the ground running - again and again. I believe the idea of perfection represents the state of quality of our experiences, and once we evolve out of the belief that suffering is the best catalyst of growth we will soar, and this ideal is deeply imbedded into us. That it requires anything other than desire and choice.

Hello Everyone, I have been visiting these Ayahuasca Expedition websites and most of these events are held in Peru and in the Amazons. I would probably have to invest money into this in order to travel to Peru. It would be such a great vacation and it would be worth it but I'm sure my parents would not approve of this lol. The whole concept of Shamanism absolutely fascinates me. DMT is not a street drug, correct? I wouldn't be able to order it off a Shamanic website either? I will be outside of the United States for a while so this is why I am asking. I read that the effects of these substances can last for 7 hours! Depending on the dosage. Here is what I found on a Shamanism website: South American Ayahuasca Practice "This brew, commonly called yage, or yaje, in Colombia, ayahuasca (Inca 'vine of the dead'*) in Ecuador and Peru, and caapi in Brazil, is prepared from segments of a species of the vine Banisteriopsis, a genus belonging to the Malpighiaceae.—Michael Harner *Inca "vine of the dead, vine of the souls," aya means in Quechua "spirit," "ancestor," "dead person," while huasca means "vine," "rope"). Pablo's Warning: Ayahuasca is not something to play with. It may even kill, not because it is toxic in itself, but because the body may not be able to stand the spiritual realm, the vibrations from the spirit world. Pablo said he had several frightening experiences with ayahuasca. Three times he thought he was going to die.* One needs courage, a strong discipline, and to proceed by degrees. It is a long process that might take two or three years before one can venture into the higher realms. One needs a teacher that shows the correct procedures, and how to defend oneself against supernatural attack. But after some time, one needs to continue alone, because even one's teacher might become jealous of one's progress and could take away all one has learned. *Frightening ayahuasca experiences are quite frequent. It is common that people take ayahuasca only once, and are afraid to take it again." From Ayahuasca Visions by Luna and Amaringo I would not mind at all going through the purging as I also want to detox my body with Juice Fasting pretty soon. I am a big fan of Terence McKenna and most of his ideas should be considered. "Shamanism and similar areas of research have gained in significance because they postulate new ideas about mind and spirit. They speak of things like vastly expanding the realm of consciousness ... the belief, the knowledge, and even the experience that our physical world of the senses is a mere illusion, a world of shadows, and that the three-dimensional tool we call our body serves only as a container or dwelling place for Something infinitely greater and more comprehensive than that body and which constitutes the matrix of the real life." Holger Kalweit, Dreamtime and Inner Space The Effects of AyahuascaAfter ingestion, you will start to feel the effects in about 15-60 minutes. The peak starts at about 60-90 minutes after ingestion and can last 2-6 hours. After effects can last another 1-8 hours. A large dose will last longer and be more potent than a smaller dose will. However, if a user ingests too much, they will probably black-out and forget the experience. It is nearly impossible to overdose and die. After you drink ayahuasca, you may have to vomit. This does not happen to everyone but it is fairly common. Vomiting itself is unpleasant but it should not be considered an allergic or negative reaction. If you do have to vomit, afterwards you will feel as though you have been purified from the inside out. The best way to minimize the chance of vomiting (or at least limit the amount), is to fast for 24 hours prior to ingestion. That means drinking water only (no food at all) for one full day before drinking the brew. According to http://www.thedrugspot.com/dmt/dmt-extraction.html Dmt is very hard to find even though it is produced by our Brain. I don't see myself having access to this substance unless I am somehow able to take a trip to Peru and take part in an excursion.

Dear Explorer, No - DMT is certainly not a street drug - be assured of that. But the information you discovered are words to heed indeed. The Shamans call it the "vine of the dead" because they use it to visit "the ancestors" who are held as sacred. Every ancient culture around the world is the same - even Stone Henge, here in Britain, was constructed for rituals dedicated to that purpose. Here is the thing though - none of us may ever go to a place where our Spirit cannot naturally go - not possible. This an immutable Universal Principle. All DMT can do is offer a glimpse of that place if the Mind can handle it. So then there is the Mind - we experience exactly what we expect. The only way with DMT - as with say Zen Meditation - is to expect nothing. Just Be. The Spiritual Realms are far, far beyond human comprehension - which is by design. The Vibration is unimaginably great - but only to the extent of our Spiritual body. Usually we "grow there", Spiritually, but to be suddenly "thrust" there can potentially kill you - without doubt. The thing is with DMT is - the physical body and "lower" Mind is on one Vibration, and the Soul/Spirit on another - this is what these Shamans are most wisely warning about. Very often, people who seek an Ayahuasca experience are already in the process of Spiritual Growth, and the experience simply becomes an extension of that. Those who take Ayahuasca just to go on a "trip" could find it is their last trip on Earth We cannot shortcut Spiritual Evolution - we can only grow there. My suggestion is to begin meditation. There are many forms, and each has a preference. My view is that ZaZen is the most "inclusive" and "exclusive" at the same time, and can take you where you want to go for a while. Ultimately though - we can only ever Grow Spiritually through Being. Lots of Love, Adrian.

Hello Everyone,
Great News! It seems as if my wish to experience this mind expanding substance will become a reality. I am currently at my home country, Colombia, in South America. I will be in Medellin for 2 months and then heading to Iowa for Plenty of meditation.
In Medellin I will be able to go to an Ayahuasca Ceremony near my area. A shaman will be the leader and it only costs $50000 Colombian Pesos aka $25 usd I will have to be prepared for all of the intense purging and vomitting.
I have to set my appointment up soon, maybe for next weekend. I am really looking forward to this detox and will see how many doses my Mind can handle.
More Details Coming Up.

Dear Explorer, I am absolutely delighted that you have been brought the opportunity to experience the Ayahuasca Ceremony. The fact that the cost is only $25 tells me that this is a real experience, not based upon any sort of commercial motive. I know of people who have spent thousands of dollars travelling to such a ceremony, accomodation and so on, so that is good value indeed I am happy that you are going in to this with your "eyes open". If this is a true Ayahausca ceremony and the Ayahausca is pure - which I am sure it will be - it will be an extremely intense experience and one which iis unique for everyone. Yet many repeat the experience and find different levels each time - it is a path - that is how the Shamans see it and will no doubt say so. How many doses? You will know my friend Some only do this once because Ayahuasca makes everything within real and many people have many inner "demons" to purge. However, I feel that you do not, so this could be a very enlightning experience for you - I hope so - I really so. I am very much looking forward to hearing all about your experience when you get back. Remember, if you can, to go in to this with a totally clear, meditative mind with no expectations. If you expect something, whatever you expect will become very real All the best with your Experience my Friend - I respect you for doing it. Lots of Love, Adrian.

Beloved David, That you know 100% this is your heart desire and that all parts of you-self agree with it - everything is at peace - body, mind, soul, that you have a joyful anticipation and ONLy good feelings about what you are about to do - that is your choice - I wish you my best, sending my good loving vibes and supporting energy. I personally do not think you need it nor that it will help in your spiritual path. What helps most is the good feelings that you leave behind. That you are going to Maharishi University is such a big thing really I cannot tell you enough how great this is and 10.000 Ayahuasca trips won't come 1% closer to this ..really. all my love Laura

Dear Friends, This is a very insightful video and it explains a lot about how we experience the transcendental also ... which is what people look for when they resort to mind altering substances. What I find of importance and relevant to the topic at hand is this: Every model we make .... every model we make - I want to stress this!! ... doesn't matter what field we chose however here we are at spirituality every model we make tells us how our mind works and not how things really are does not give a complete and accurate image of the Universe, what we 'do' science, spirituality ...these are just symbolic human games of a higher mentally functioning individual the Universe itself, Source, God, the whole ..is much greater ..any description, any experience we may impart on the greater whole and does NOT describe the Universe but it described what we are capable of perceiving at this time our own level of understanding according to the level of expansion we are at now... extend this and try to 'see' what mind altering substances will do ... however the DMT Molecule book describes cases each human with own world based on this it also explains the way the world operates ... Robert Anton Wilson explains Quantum Physics http://youtu.be/XEZtw1yt8Kcmuch love Laura LM

Very Very insightful book. Many aspects of the initial experience detailed in Dr Statesman's book are very similar to the beginning stages of Astral Projection. This book took me in many different research directions. For example Shamanism, Spirit of Plants, Akashi records etc etc etc. There are many underlying experiences told by the patients that answer internal questions but also invoke intrigue. I couldn't put the book down and 100% recommend it to anyone interested in the true higher realms of inner reality.
