Love and Health to All,
So one is born, and than one eventually dies. Have long pondered the in-between portion of those two events. What is / was my true purpose for existence on earth. At times one floats along with no thought given to the matter of purpose of existence.  In moments of introspection, there can be periods of angst, fear, and confusion. Am I fulfilling Gods purpose for my existence! What is that purpose? While there can be perhaps, many reasons, is there a prime or major purpose for ones existence! To love God! To love one another unconditionally! Are these the sole purpose! What part does having a nice home, or vehicle play in this existence!  Family, friends and acquaintances must also fit into the overall picture! Yet there remains the quest for "the main reason" of ones existence.Where did ones profession fit into the plan! So it goes, but did I fulfill my purpose! Is it possible that all the mentioned things are in fact, ones real purpose in life! Have heard that one should not try, but actually do what needs or should be done. Yet the question here remains, "Do what !"  So what I ask here, have you found your "true purpose" in life? How did it come about? It is said that one must go "within" to gain the answers. Perhaps I just didn't hear the answers correctly, as going within revealed  very little answer wise. Is there a particular process or method required? Or is the real purpose primarily "learn to love one another unconditionally!"

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply be kind to others.

Hi Talker,
Am so pleased you started this thread. I have certainly been asking myself this question lately. Have often read that if you discover your passion you will find your purpose in life. After a lifetime of denying myself my passion I am now single-mindedly (almost) pursuing it. I am hoping that the purpose of this will make itself known. ( I have some ideas....)

But I know that others appreciate my help and thoughts on things - if asked, obviously. One friend tells me that just the sound of my voice is reassuring and soothes her worries. Equally, there are people in my life that I am grateful for. Am sure there are family and friends who also feel that way about you and I would suggest that these things might be our purpose in life.

Also I can think of small achievements such as a campaign that helped patients, locally. Helping ease someone's last months on earth etc. We mostly have some sort of achievements. It's not only the things that hit the media that are important. If everyone strived to make a difference in national or global terms the local achievements would suffer. That includes friends and family. After all how many people who are renowned for their achievements have had little time to nurture their families and be there when they were needed?

Perhaps in many cases our purpose may simply be making life easier for someone else in some way. At the same time we can strive to help others on a larger scale and maybe we will succeed. And whilst doing all this we grow and learn. Hope that doesn't sound too cheesy. I have come to the conclusion that I am here to evolve and to grow. The learning process is important and I hope I make the best of it. Would like to hear what others think.

Hello Talker and Knox_Knox,

Great question and answer. smiley I agree that purpose is equal to passion and I was also thinking about the movie "It's A Wonderful Life".

Will you allow me to share another's beneficial for me Heart Thoughts expression?:

"I walk through life with the happy companionship of my Godself and joyfully express the goodness I am. My wisdom and understanding of Spirit increases and I express more fully each day the inner beauty and strength of my true being. Divine Order is ever present in my experience and there is plenty of time for all that I choose to do. I express wisdom, understanding, and love in all my dealings with others and my words are Divinely guided. I see my consciousness of Spiritual abundance expressing as plenty-plenty to use for good in my world. I see myself expressing the creative energy of Spirit in my work; writing and speaking words of truth easily and with a depth of understanding and wisdom. Fun, uplifting ideas flow through my consciousness for joyful expression, and I follow through on the ideas received, bringing them into full manifestation. And so it is."

And in closing:

"You are yourself. You are special and unique, having your own set of talents and abilities. No one can do things exactly the way you can do them. There is no competition and no comparison. You are worthy of your own love and your own self-acceptance. You are a magnificent being. You are free. Acknowledge this as the new truth for yourself. And so it is."

As I pray these and thoughts like these without ceasing I find I am able to see God and goodness in everyone I meet. As I see here.
(It's not always like I imagine it to be (far sighted) wink, most of the times it's like walking into the store and seeing money on the ground. Surprise!! wink)

Just calling out on my way....................

Blessings and Be well,

Julia

Ohh yeah?!? What about those who go through life suffering? Is it there purpose to live in such unfair or unfortunate conditions?

When one seeks the truth, They find it. When one seeks only answeres, they get only answeres. If you dont like the answeres you recieve. Then perhaps you aren't asking the right questions. Why? Because the truth really could hurt! Make sure your up to it!

Hello Perfect and L Lawliet, smiley

Our purpose is to return to that from which we are from. Unconditional Love. True serving comes from this. Otherwise, it's just a loud banging on the drums. wink

Yes. There is a purpose for everything under the sun.

Blessings and Be Well,

Julia
