Smiley Hello Freedom dearest,

Th best place is to go to Google, then click on <images> and enter your search criteria - in this case: cats, or kittens ...

You get something like this:
http://images.google.ca/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=cute+cat&revid=565480067&ei=7cSUSeqyK5KMsQOfl6i7Bw&sa=X&oi=revisions_inline&resnum=0&ct=broad-revision&cd=1

After you decide on the image you like mail me the link and I can optimise the photo for you:
Maximum avatar size is 120x120 pixels.

Dear Freedom,

nope, it seems I got that wrong...

The info I got was from yahoo messenger,

Hugs are meant to be > then : then D then <

The 1st one looked better than the 2nd one.

Well...  neither looks exactly right.

I hope someone can find a good hug emoticon

and show me how to do the lovely heart one that Laura now has!!!

Love and learning and laughter to everyOne!

 smiley   Kiss   smiley

This forum has a limited number of emoticons and they do not necessarily have the same key sequence as in messenger. Smiley Yes I remember yahoo hugs are the best. I don't have yahoo messenger anymore on my laptop.

For Talker or anyone else to add more emoticons they would have to upload certain files from the provider. I believe is to much work for the purpose of this forum.

However our smart Talker here who thinks out of the box found a way around - it would have never occurred to me - apparently some symbols in MS Word are compatible with this blog like for instance: ♥♫♣♠♪

However to change them you need to treat them as words, i.e. increase size, colour... like so:

So all you need to do is copy-paste the symbol from MS Word and perhaps do something like:

Code:

 [size=26pt][color=red]♥[/color] [/size]

to get:

or

Code:

[size=26pt][color=blue]♣[/color] [/size]

to get:

Smiley You can just copy-paste from here (what's inside the 'code')

Perhaps for a hug we can use:  >Kiss<   or >Smiley<

Greetings All,
For those that actually do tech related corrections with computers, here is some good news. Microsoft has commenced listening to techs that raise a fuss and DO voice complaints.
Rather than put the whole post here, check my blog link.
Offered and yet at this time 'free', is a 'FIX IT' for you program.
Limited at this time, but rapidly expanding, into more computer areas and trouble spots..
Guess who actually get the phone and emails flowing whenever he really gets stuck!

Hi dear all

I think this subject should be pinned up the top, and so should "computer related problems by Adrian".

Or perhaps , the dear darling Moderators could start one more forum, especially to help everyone tech-challenged, but still wanting to learn to be better. I have seen this on other places , they have one part where you can go and get your technique down better.

This suggestion is to our lovely helpful hardworking mods. Dear Julia told me she welcomes suggestions that could help us all to make this place easier to get around.

Putting all computer-related things together would be wonderful, then the ones that aren't interested  could just bypass it and save time... and the ones that need it will say Bless you and Thankyou so much.

Lots of love  smiley

Dear Mods

As what I said in the last 3 computer-related topics, this would be good to be in there, as well.  I recommended a "computer education" type forum, so we can bypass it if we know what we are doing and get straight to spiritual chatting.

I hope this advice of mine helps, dear Julia. xxx

Another really interesting and helpful thread for the "computer challenged" !   cool

I hope the dear mods are interested in my idea of a forum especially for this catagory.

Hi Freedom,
That you are well.
Ah, the words are music to my ears. While not all suggestions can be put into place due to some program constraints, some are within our reach. It was desired to gather 'like' programs for ease of new members to find related categories to place a post. Also it's much handier to find and follow a chain of closely related topics. What you suggested, is in the moderators plans. Thank you for the mention and thoughts of how to smooth out finding subjects.

Greetings All,
I ran this on my computer,to see if any high risks security problems were in my unit. It worked fine. No high risks were revealed.
You might want to try the program on your unit, at your own risk of course. Got a ''SAFE' reading, so basically no worry at this time.

Print this out before trying, as it's tricky once on the site.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

There is a basic check available, that will check ones computer for security risks.
The way to do this check is to paste in this link to go to:

http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/WelcomePage.asp

Once there, be careful to read what shows up.
There is a Virus checker, also included, but avoid that for now.
When the link shown is activated, a window will open, where you will have
two (2) choices to make.

'Download Now'  (and)   'Continue to Symantic Security Check'

Click this, at the bottom right  "Continue to Symantic Security Check"

You will again be given two choices:

        'Security Scan'  (and)  'Virus Detection'

Click this at the left side 'Security Scan'

Another window will open. There will again be two choices:

       'Accept'   and ' Decline'
Click the 'Accept' to proceed and also click the box at the right 'Next".

Be careful when the next window opens.

At the bottom will be two statements in one long string of words.

 LOOK FOR THIS WORDING:

'To continue the Security Scan without running the Antivirus Product Check, click here.'

 Another window will open.

Do nothing at this point. You will see a 'progress' bar that goes fast. Just wait for
the 'Scan' to finish. You will see a "Security Status' with a message.
My message read 'SAFE!.
What your message will read I don't know, but if all is OK, shouls also read  'SAFE!

I did not go beyond this 'Security Scan', from this point on, just be careful of what you do.

Dear Talker,

Thank you!  for reminding me. Also my daughter computer died, was 5 years old anyway...so while pondering options such as employing one of my best friend to fix it or getting a new one, they are unbelievably cheap these days, my daughter who is doing a lot of computer graphic art  told me she doesn't want and LCD she prefers her old monitor... oh well these artists   cool

but I looked at it as a 'sign' to be cautious so!
I just backed-up all my data,
uninstalled some progs I don't use (symantec is one of them ..he he he)
removed a lot of data from active drive,
doing scan and defrag now

For some reason I always forget these things, last time I did a scan was more than a year ago  grin I guess I need a good guy to remind me Wink (thanks and kisses again)
