Hi guys (and girls),

In the past I used Adobe Acrobat reader, but I never liked the fact that it takes a long time to load big ebooks, like OUR.

If you think it's not loading a long time, please compare it with Foxit Reader:

Hello everyone,

I have just realised that the avatar directory on the server was not writeable.

I have now resolved this and you can now upload your avatar directly from your PC by going to Profile and Account Related Settings.

Maximum avatar size is 120x120 pixels.

So please go ahead and upload your unique avatar.

When the reader just came up, I thought it was a great idea and tried to find more about it. I don't remember exactly what the problem was that stopped me from pursuing this, but it had something to do with the fact that you cannot have the .PDF files on that reader. All the electronic eBooks one gets on the net are .PDF files. And to convert them to the reader's format, you are not provided with the software but have to go to their site and convert, and pay. But maybe they had change the system now. You better find out exactly what is involved before you decide to buy, what format the electronic books are in that reader, and what is involved to convert them into that format.

Well, that would be really stupid... if I can't even put .pdf files on it myself.

This is what the website says:

When I read that, I understand it should be possible to put .pdf files on the Reader...

I should have read that webpage completely.... 

This sounds like it could be a great gadget to have! I hope that somebody who has had an experience with it would post more about it.

I read about the conversion issue a while back, and most probably in reference to some other reader, like the Amazon one.

But you cannot put PDF's on that either. I think this is an attempt to profit from the books read  - Amazon sells Kindle format books.

I think they will eventually accept the fact that if they want to sell it they need to ensure it accepts all industry standard formats.

"either" you say... Does this mean that you know for sure that you can't put pdf files on the Sony Reader? In my second post I quote the website and it pretty much says that you CAN put pdf files on the Sony Reader.

Unless ofcourse they use the same skewed advertisement as these companies that shamelessly convinces people by mail that they won a million bucks

Just to let you know that I moved the Our Ultimate Reality site to a new server today - latest technology and performance.
