Welcome Alex,

I would like to ask if English is your secondary language? I can hear Adrian just find on the track.

I do highly suggest you stay awake until the part where Adrian guides you through the Chakra work. In order to get the Advantage of it you need to imagine or feel what he is talking about. He also teaches you to draw energy from mother earth. I focus on the Central Sun at the planets center when I draw the energy.

Hi,friends and a lot of thanks to you,Adrian

I just begun the meditation from about some days and I may say that this root chakra's meditation is working.I have meditate some years and I am the possibility to use the breathing and to hold repiration. My method is the following: deeply inspiration 1-4 then holding 1-7,then expiration 1-8 and holding 1-7.During this meditation I am able to see the red colour of the root chakra and after some time I may see the violet for the crown chakra. In this time I am concentrated on  the point between the eyes and allways I see a little yellow point which is developping and a slight light does appear.

I may recognise that after this meditation I feel very energised and some times I don't sleep so I do this meditation only during the morning.

The only problem it is with that Adrian is speaking...I am not able to hear his voice and only directly from the mediaplayer but I don't understand what he said.It will be possible to have a text with what Adrian speak?? For me it is easier to read because I don't understand very good the spoken english. So,please, write yours words to be understood also for other foreign people!

It is very usefull to describe each of us his experience with the meditation.I suppose that on this way we'll be more closed and in a deeper connection each with the others. We may grow up together!

Peace and Light,

Dear Friends,

I will be honest with you, regarding the breathing in the meditation. To tell you the truth I could never do it. One reason being that it doesn't exactly go to counts of 7.

I just ...listened to it focused ..and ...in reality is more like:

1. breath in to the count of 7  (I am good here)
2. telling me to hold in (count of 5) then + voice count of 7 + telling me I am going to exhale (count of 5-6). So the hold in is to the count of ~17....by this stage I am gasping !!!
3. exhale to the count of 7 - would be good here if I wasn't gasping at the holding point.
4. relax (to the count of 11...)

Now... I can totally do: in 7, hold 7, exhale 7, hold 7.

I cannot do  -  in:7  hold: 17 exhale:7  hold in: 11-12  ..and start again...

I am certain trained people can do it, I wish I know how to train myself to breathe like this.

Anyway if I 'forget' about breathing and do what comes naturally there is something definetelly going on there, however in the end I am unhappy because I could not breathe properly :S

Apart from breathing all is great!!

Every teacher has their own method.

For me relaxing and breathing naturally produced much better results for me. As time went on it became easier to play with other breathing techniques.
Meditation occurs in the space between the in and out breath, it is where I release a mantra if I am using one.

There is no wrong nor right, it is what you feel most natural with.

LOLz Laura!

I know exactly what you mean and I would like to say that you are exaggerating but with Adrian talking in the middle of you holding the breath you are not. Its a concern people had at the begging including myself. Somewhere you will find where Adrian told me it is possible to hold the breath this long and for even much longer. He advised me to just think of something else. It was so inspiring that I CAN now hold my breath as he instructs in the Meditation. My only complaint is after I do this I do feel a little out of breath. Its not something I can do for a long period of time.

Just practice with it or breath normally until Adrian moves on to the next part!

I love you!

Seriously, and yet humorous, many have no realization that they are always breathing, in some way, shape or form. Ones breathing pattern takes on many variations and is interesting to observe, if payed attention too.
Belly breathers, chest breathers, nose breathers, mouth breathers, and shallow panting breathers, may be more patterns, but for now, enough.
Breath, is life energy. How one breathes determines their overall health condition, and assists in spiritual matters. Will refrain from great detail here, but going beyond 'ordinary' breathing practices, does require training. Pin down any experienced practitioner of yoga and meditation, and you will generally be told, six months and up to years before the controlled breathing process became 'natural'.  So experiencing awkwardness in doing the chakra breathing count, is basically a learning curve to master. Some spend a life time doing so.
While I've not researched the science of breath in great depth, it is a wondrous process, that reveals how to integrate life energies into ones 'whole' being.  Have experienced the lack of inner harmony, doing the breath counts, after a few cycles of doing some chakra routines. So I modify the method enough to at least continue, as opposed to 'not doing any'.
So like with any learning curve, practice, practice, and more practice, if you want to master a specific process.

A Breath Breathing technique, is integral to setting the stage for meditation and / or chakra routines. Different styles, like alternate nostril, will be handy down the line, but first, perfect the basic inhale-exhale method. On the inhale, let your shoulders relax and your ribs expand (outward, not up) and feel your breath in the back of your throat. Count slowly - one -two - three - four — pause, and exhale for the same count. Steady breathing serves as a metronome to keep you focused and acts like a Quaalude for your central nervous system.

Breathing gives you oxygen which will help with energy and relaxation.

If you notice how babies and young children breathe, their stomach expands as the inhale. For some reason (maybe vanity because we don't want our stomach to stick out) we lose this natural, full style of breathing. Most adults will lift their chest as they inhale, making for a much shallower breath.

How do you breathe? Become aware of your breath right now. Is your chest lifting as you inhale or is your stomach expanding as you inhale? Your stomach should be expanding. Are you taking quick shallow breaths or long, slow deep breaths? Or maybe you find you are holding your breath a lot. Check your breathing throughout the day. It's the holding the breath that can be very detrimental whereas long, deep breaths will give you benefits of clearing out toxins, more energy, plus more relaxation. Shallow breathing leaves dead, stale air in the bottom of your lungs and lessens the oxygen available to your body.

Complete Breath Lie on your back comfortably. Place your hands on your stomach when learning this exercise to get the feel of your abdomen raising as you inhale through your nose (it's designed as a filter). Inhale slowly and deeply, expanding the stomach first, then the middle of your chest, and finally expand your upper chest. Reverse this as you exhale, emptying the upper chest first, then the middle chest. Contract your stomach to push all the air out of your lungs for the third stage of this exhale. This is one Complete Breath. Practice 3, 5, or more of these at a time.

Sun Moon Breath (Alternate Nostril Breath) Sit up straight with your feet crossed under your thighs. (You may also use the Lotus or Half Lotus position from Yoga.) Hold your the thumb of your right hand on one side of your nose. Your forefinger and middle finger are tucked under while your ring and pinky fingers are on the other side of your nose. Plug the right side of your nose and inhale through the left nostril. Unplug the right nostril, while plugging the left nostril and exhale through your right nostril. Then inhale through the right nostril, switch your fingers to plug the right and unplug the left side of the nose, and exhale through the left nostril. This round of 2 inhales and 2 exhales makes one Sun Moon Breath.
Repeat 5, 10 or more times. Try to make the inhales and exhales on each side the same amount of time. For example, 4 counts inhaling, 4 counts exhaling. As you advance your practice, increase the counts to 10 or more.

You can also count in between each inhale and exhale (on this exercise or the Complete Breath exercise), holding your breath in for 2 counts before exhaling, then holding your breath completely expelled for 2 counts before inhaling.
These counts can also be increased with practice.
In any breathing exercise, holding the breath is not detrimental because you will find a more intense inhale after holding it expelled and the same goes for your exhale after keeping your breath held in for awhile.

You will find that one side of your nose is more clogged than the other. You naturally alternate breathing from one nostril for a period of time, then the other. With a little practice, both will open clearly for this exercise.

This exercise gives a balancing effect to your brain, kind of like a yin/yang thing. It also helps clear out congestion in the nose.
Bellows Breath This is a great energizer. I use it when I get tired driving, among other times. It also helps clear out pollutants in the lungs, either from everyday exposure or smoking. This breathing exercise is also helpful for those trying to quit smoking or drugs; it gives a little natural high. Therefore, you should only practice this 3 times in a row. It is dangerous to practice this more than 3 times in a row. Do not do it!
OK, here goes: Sit up or stand up for this one. When standing, you can place your hands on your thighs with your knees slightly bent.
Breathe in a half breath (always through your nose for inhale and exhale) and force it out with your stomach muscles contracting like a bellows that forces air on a fire as it is closed. (You may want a tissue handy!) Continue breathing in half breaths and forcing the air out stronger and faster each time to the count of 10. Follow this with a Complete Breath that is described above.
This sequence is considered one Bellows Breath. Work your way up to 20 or even 30 bellows (forceful blowing out of a breath) in one sequence.
Again, do not do more than 3 sequences in a row of the Bellows Breath.

Use these breathing exercises, relaxation techniques. They may help you lead a more fulfilled life that includes relaxation!
Be Well

Hello, I have been listening to the soundtrack for about 6 weeks now.  My problem is that I keep falling asleep!

I really like the breathing exercise, since it really relaxes me.  The difficult part is that the count of 7 is more like 11 or more since there is talking in between.

Once the rest period that follows the relaxation phase is complete and Adrian begins to speak, I almost jump out of bed from the shock. Actually a few times I kicked my dog from that. But even so, I still continue to dose off within a few minutes.  One time I actually sat up in bed so I could hear the rest of the recording. It was difficult to make out the words, but I tried to concentrate very hard thinking that if I could follow what is being said, I will remain focused.  Unfortunately my mind keeps drifting.

Any advise?  I had read somewhere that when you are asleep, recordings played will have no effect.  Am I wasting my time?  Should I try something else?

thanks

There are those here who can give you more 'detailed methodical' reasons for this and what to do about it. What is it you are really desiring to accomplish is my question here. If you are desiring to Experience Source or God then I ask you what results have you experienced so far as in your overall daily Energy in practicing this?

Is your demeanor changing? Are you becoming more relaxed and at peace even though you fall asleep? Are you finding that things don't bother you as much or are not worth the effort to get into disagreements with as much?

Sometimes we get too caught up in the how to do's like driving. In the beginning if you were to be on video of first learning to drive and then be filmed after driving for six months your entire Energy would be seen differently. By the doing of this daily, you naturally become more confident in practicing your skill and relax into it more. It becomes a part of you by the seemingly insignificant baby steps we take. Those steps are giant steps in hindsight.

I think I saw somewhere that you are in your teens, forgive me if I am incorrect here. You may just be doing what is natural for your growing body right now as in hormones doing their thing to bring you into being fully prepared for maturing into manhood. Truth.

Before listening to Adrian's soundtrack, Ask for Divine Wisdom and Discernment to receive the full benefits whether you stay awake or not. Ask with the attitude of  knowing you have already received your answer that you will indeed be shown how to receive the full benefits of this exercise. Truth. And you will.

Your dog is very intuitive and I trust that he/she knows that you are not kicking it out of any other reason than being jolted out of sleep. I have been kicked by dogs being jolted out of sleep my friend! wink

Peace puppychew,

Many Blessings, Be Well,

Love in Divine Spirit,

Hello Ken

Is perfectly fine to fall asleep. The meditation will work with your subconscious mind. So, at this point don't sweat it.

Remember meditation is meant for collecting energy. If you put strain or obsess about what you can do or not you actually loose energy.

The reasons you are falling asleep could be many and various, however 2 main come to mind.
1. you mat be to tired or exhausted so, have a good 2 weeks of rest and plenty of sleep to catch up with previous losses, then try again...do it at a time when is not 'sleep' time. I.e. not at your regular bed time Smiley mornings or something.

2. usually Ego doesn't like de-programming so it puts you to sleep. There might be some hidden routine that contains some fear factor at your action of developing your beyond the 5 senses powers, so is a form of protection. Usually you can take steps to discover where the block is. Try the EFT emotional freedom technique. Do it properly (as in get into it, immerse yourself in it... let those tears out, do it until there's no tears or emotional reaction left). Then have a 'talk' with your Ego... reassure him or her that what you are about to do serves you and it doesn't put you in any peril. You are generally not able to do anything without Ego's permission... so make it feel valued even if the meditation and such techniques will diminish its importance.

In a meditation (a good deep one not one where you just sit there and think you are meditating) ideally the subject enters the subconscious while still in conscious mode and eventually rewrites old paradigms that don't serve you anymore, then at higher level there's direct communication with the amazing super conscious. This however is only attained after years of practice and it belongs in the realms of mastery.

In a guided meditation, the guide (Adrian) serves at your conscious will guiding you through the process of getting at your subconscious.  So... the subconscious will still 'hear' it even if you are asleep.

In a more ideal situation you will become aware of the 'narrated action' to such extent that you actively participate in it in a semi-doused state (theta waves bordering on delta). Of course at mental level.

The meditative pattern of your brain waves in a typical meditation follows very much  the 'falling asleep' pattern: Beta -> alpha-> theta->| meditation/dreaming sleep | the moment your brain relaxes in -> delta you are in deep sleep /no dreams loose contact with .

Anyway everything comes by with training and not giving up. I.e. you want to build muscles on your chest...you have to exercise that part, it won't happen overnight. Same with brain waves and meditation.
As for myself I still haven't found time to train my breathing.

regards

This is VERY true. Anytime your body isn't relaxed it is wasting a ton of energy!

Thank you Julia and Mina-Laura,

As for my age - 38.  I am a graduate of Silva Ultramind about several years ago and until recently I have been practicing Holosync.  However it seems that I can never get out of the beginner stage.

Problems I have encountered all along is the inability to focus and while listening to the Silva or Holosync soundtracks, I get extremely figity and feel like screaming or running around the block.  During Holosync, which lasts for about 60 minutes, I am able to stay awake, probably because I daydream about many things.  However, after about 20 minutes, sitting still listening to the soundtrack is very painful - almost torture.  I almost pray for it to end so I can move around.  (I am normally a very active (hyper) person, but even with my meditation I have not changed or become more at peace)

My motivation to learn all of this is due to Our Ultimate Reality Book.  I think it is a great book and would like to eventually learn astral travel, etc.  I feel that I must first get a better foundation.  It just seems like I can never get past the get a better foundation point.  Working on Chakras I understand is probably the best way to get that good foundation.

I have tried my own visualization meditation to work my chakras etc.  It is just very tiring trying to focus and my daydreaming makes it take too long to do.  I thought a guided meditation like Adrian's soundtrack would be easier.

I have used EFT also - haven't used it for sometime - almost forgot about it until you mentioned it.  I'm glad you did.

There is so much I would like to do/learn.  I just need to get past these blocks.

I'm glad I am still getting a benefit while asleep but I will also try the soundtrack during the day.

peace,
ken

Mea Culpa Ken, smiley

I wasn't intending to imply to the level of your maturity here my friend, and I overlooked your 'age' however, the message is spoken to children of all ages of which group I still belong to. You are warmly welcomed and thank you for your response.

My daughter Sommer is super hyper and has a time with being still. What has helped her is to become more physically active in play not so much work. She rooted around for quite awhile to find what works for her. And it is a combination of deep breathing while doing bodywork, stretching, with yoga and pilates movements. She also goes for vigorous walks in Nature at a nearby Park (huge walking trails). This allows her endorphins to kick in and relax her enough to be still, meditate and journal while being more relaxed and the exercise burns up the screaming desire to get moving. She had a difficult time with Holosync as well. She has chosen other ways that suit her to receive the benefits of deep relaxation and meditation.

Journaling as in free flowing streaming,  sounds like it would be too easy to get to the blocks yet I have found from both personal and shared experience that it is really an eye opener to uncovering our blocks. It takes a little bit of time to see our patterns coming through though because we are so use to the way we think and communicate that we see it as normal at first and what is the point of this, when our eye is yet to be trained to discern what is a Self defeating thought or pattern from a Self Loving one to each of us.

Another simple yet effective way of seeing the blocks is to sit in front of a mirror and just look yourself in the eye and have a converation with yourself, then move into saying 'I Love you Ken' to yourself. Truth. It sounds easy yet this can be a very difficult thing to do for one. I am not speaking of a narcisstic making out session with oneself here at the mercy of others. A genuine from the heart and meaning it from the place of Self Loving Respect. Most of us are very disrespectful of ourselves in our thoughts and don't even give those thoughts a second thought. We just accept them. And this is what tends to create the blocks. Honest. Or we argue which gives weight to our unbelief. Find some Powerful affirmations that speak to your Heart, that dings you in there and carry them around for awhile to assist you in changing your self speaking language and you will see the blocks of resistance coming down and making more room to allow the Real affirming thoughts to take root.

Sounds kind of goofy and simple yet should you try these things, I sense you will be surprised by what arises. The mirror one is very interesting and I would keep my journal handy and just stream the thoughts without hesitating and trying to change them by being resistant. This is a for your eyes only journal.

Resistance is what creates the blocks. For most of us it is due to deeply buried fears (hidden beliefs) that one will not like what they see or find deep down inside of there. An underlying fear of really seeing oneself for whom one is. I say you will be delightfully surprised and it will change your life.

Or depending on ones upbringing it could be a deeply ingrained idea of the fear of GOD and in doing these things it will somehow make you arrogant and selfish. Truly. We don't stop to give these things much consideration yet this is removing the false foundations by growing in understanding what does not build you up or edify you. And this will effect all areas of your life unknowingly if left to continue the same way. Adrian shares this process in his own distinct Voice in his book in Chapters 101 ~ 105.

You are not alone Ken truly. Many have, are and will go through this part of the process to get past the blocks of resistance. Resistance is your Higher Self revealing to you that you have a closed door here and to truly Know Yourself all doors must be opened and allow the contents to spill out and be seen and then you will know what to do with these thoughts because you will only keep the ones that validate your True Nature. Truth.

Much Love to you today, from one Child at Heart to another,

Julia cool

Dear Adrian and All,

Adrian, CONGRATULATIONS on completing the Chakra Meditation tracks. Smiley

The weather was perfect today in Toronto, the last day of the Vegetarian Festival Fest (might as well be called vegan as 99% of it was vegan).  We had a great time sampling all kind of treats and I got myself a Vegan Cook book with delicious looking recipes such as chocolate cake  cool.

Truth is I had a hard time moving myself, to go, I wanted to make my girls happy. The crowds are making me very exhausted for some reason. Still the vegan crowd and the curious ones were very tamed, and settled. And the location by the lake was serene and peaceful in spite of the many people milling about.
My girls remarked on how every nice everyone was. Although they were promoting their products they would offer everything for sampling without creating any feeling that now I must buy something out of guilt. Also they were all very passionate explaining about the health benefits of the products. The shelled Hemp seeds were just delicious!!

All in all it was a good experience leaving a calming state ...still I am exhausted! I think I shall take a hot bath.
