Hello Everyone ~

Wave, thank you for your wonderful contributions to this forum, as you can see it sparks such wonderful responses and heartfelt sharing in us.
Laura, we would have so much fun together sister! Truth!! Just a short sharing on the holidays as you have expressed so wonderfully here. St. Pat's Day, out come the goofy t-shirts, "Irish you were a Leprechaun", "Green was so last year" not to mention the silly hats. Okay, I did say goofy!

I've always had a secret spot for Christmas. One of my fondest childhood memories was walking down the cobblestoned main street in Dunoon, Argyll, Scotland. The little shop windows all aglow in the dark wintery lamplit night and the wind blowing swirls of snow dust against the shop walls. It was such a magical moment. I was allowed to have this moment all to myself as no one else was out and it was early evening. I stopped in wonder of it all, breathed it all in and InJoyed this Charles Dickens storybook moment and I said to myself, "I will never forget this." And I haven't, that was 34 years ago!!
DH, truth, I envision you as a Salty Sea Captain with a Heart of Gold, not so much an old fart!

I agree, we do tend to see what is right with things more so now because we have experienced it otherwise in our lives. We know now, we are free to choose.
I will say here that when ones are experiencing shifts and changes in their lives as to the loss of family, friends and loved ones or all that was once so familiar, it can lead one to depression and feeling all alone and unloved especially during the holiday seasons.
I found that by volunteering to assist with those who are homebound or in a place of transitioning whether homeless or in a financially changing position, it brings a shared Joy with another. Joy is a wonderful healing medicine for depression. It takes our eyes off of ourselves and our seemingly unsolvable 'problems' and the interesting thing is that you come away from the experience thanking Source for sharing the Love with you. I love how 'things' work.
I have said, 'I wish it could be Christmas everday." And you know, I realize it is.

Just my perspective.
A 'Christmas' seed that can be grown and nurtured everyday;
"We can decide to be happy, to give joy before waiting to receive it. This is not denial, but affirmation of the power inside us.
Embracing joy heals depression." ~ Calendar Reading ~
I truly InJoy you All,
Love in the Divine Spirit of Unconditional Love,
