The word metaphysics means beyond physics, literally "what comes after physics,"
But it is really used to mean (how I constantly see metaphysics being used)  “what comes beyond the material world.” It deals with energies, and vibrations, many of which are already measurable, or those that will be measurable in the future, and which are therefore of a physical nature.

Some people who teach metaphysics claim that God is energy. Is He? He is therefore measurable. But maybe he is the one who created energy subject to physical laws, even if those laws are not yet fully defined.

But it could be that God is not energy, and that he is not vibrations. Maybe the only way for us to understand him, and to communicate with him, and to alight ourselves with him, is through highest physical vibrations, but it might be that in His essence God is not any  energy or vibrations but is ultimately something we do not understand.

There is a dichotomy in the Bible. It condems all sorts of occult and other metaphysical practices, yet it presents many miracles at the same time.

Here are examples of the “metaphysical” practices that Bible condems. It claims that such powers come from unclean spirits.

THE OCCULT - What does the Bible say about it?
http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-occult.html

The Bible and the Occult:
Witchcraft, Wizards, Wicca, Sorcery, Magic, Spiritualism, Paganism, and Psychics
http://www.gospelway.com/religiousgroups/witchcraft.php

Yet, at the same time, Bible is full of mystical and mysterious experiences, for instance, the gift of prophesy, or of seas being parted as in Moses and the Red Sea incident in the Old Testament. The New Testament is especially full of extraordinary accounts of people being healed of incurable diseases, of raising from dead (Christ and Lazarus), of water transmuted into wine, of walking on water, etc.

So, on the surface it appears there is a great contradiction of condemning metaphysical abilities on the one hand, and of performing all sorts of miracles on the other hand. So what is the difference between the para abilities that the Bible condemns, and those that it praises?

The only difference is that the Occult and other such practices are from the “self” and the unclean spirits that the self apparently contacts in those practices, where as the praised abilities are from God. The experiences from God are granted when a person asks God to intervene, and aligns himself with Godliness, with God’s “vibrations”. Each time when it is stated in the New Testament “ask and you will be given” it is also directly stated or strongly implied from the text “ask God and you will be given”.

Therefore Bible claims there are two domains, that which is directly under the authority of God, and then there is a domain which is under the authority of “unclean spirits” whom God grants a right to chose to be what they are – to be “unclean” = low vibrating. And those spirits being in the spirit world have access to power and knowledge. And they also have the ability of being nice, and pleasing, and even helpful, as was the Snake in the Garden of Eden.

Elsewhere in the forum Adrian had stated that we cannot generate ideas on our own, that our minds are only antennas that receive ideas from the outside. So who is there to claim that we can generate miracles on our own? Miracles are far more than simple ideas. Maybe the para abilities also come from the outside, and we have to choose whether they will come with the help of the “unclean spirits” or with the help of God.

Is Hell a "beyond-physical place"? Maybe “Hell” is only some type of an energy warp into which energy-souls get when they choose, by a personal choice, to vibrate at lower and lower levels, an energy warp from which the energy-souls would not be able to get out. Such an energy warp might simply be a natural occurrence in the Universe’s energy field, a similar natural occurrence as a Great Flood was. And maybe the judgment of God really happens through such natural occurrences.

God only helps those who ask him for help, and who accept him as the highest conscious manifestation in the Universe, those who align themselves with his vibrations. It is basically this alignment of vibrations what helps. Those who by a personal choice do not ask God for help, and do not align the energies between themselves and God, can sink into the energy warp called “Hell” and stay there, since it is a warp.

Bible basically teaches us and warns us from getting into such a situation as a negative (low vibrating) energy warp.

I strongly believe that Bible goes beyond metaphysics, and presents concepts that we simply do not yet understand. The limits of the human language do not permit expressing the full significance of those concepts, and makes them be perceived by many as some type of caricatures.

I find the following set of quotations from the Bible quite interesting.

Joh 6:37  All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Joh 6:38  For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Joh 6:39  And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:47  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Joh 6:65  And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Does it imply that God gives people to Jesus, and those are the ones who will have the everlasting life? What will happen to the rest of those who were not drawn unto father? The Bible seems to be quite consistent with its presentation of the Biblical cosmic reality.

I have been struggling for the longest time with the notion of a benevolent and all powerful God, and Him permitting all the evil to exist at the same time, as if having no control over it. But the lecture presented in the following video finally help me to understand this dichotomy from the biblical perspective.

Warm Welcome Melody and All,
Thank you for the link to this talk. Very meaningful words were spoken. Many posts on this forum paralleled what was presented in that talk.
It still comes down to Unconditional Love, although those words were not mentioned. From my perspective though, had the words 'Jesus The Christ' been used as opposed to Jesus Christ, and with no mention of the  'Son of God' dying for our sins, that talk would have rang solidly true for me. My perspective aside though, it was a very meaningful explanation that should help many, that are as I call it 'tangle foot' with God, Good and Evil in this world.
