Becoming an Avatar

Avatars are said to be beings who can travel through the Eternal Spiritual Realms and also experience complete reality on this Earth we live on. Do you think it's possible to become an avatar? And if you think it's possible, how do you become an avatar?

Hi Serrao,

I guess there are a lot of ideas about what an avatar is, but i know the original concept is hindu.  It's a a deity that takes on human flesh, like the god krishnu.  I don't know know what it takes to be one, but i think we are all a part of deity.  Maybe there's a part of us that can evolve spiritually and return during another human lifetime with more spiritual wisdom and power.  What do the rest of you think?

 Tho it is possible to find liberation or enlightenment in one incarnation, the majority come back time and again. So it may not be all that healthy to become fixated (not claiming your are) on the need or desire to advance on the fast track. For most, this entire arena is a multi incarnational thing. So just breath, focus inwardly and help folks out when you can. That's really about it. Get into devotional modes where you love nature and all. Don't feed you lower desires.

 Kinda make me wonder about personal sacrifice. In my younger days I had the impression that it was somehow better to make sacrifices for others. Emphasis on the sacrifice, as to simply giving. But maybe that's stealing from self!?
