I am new here and I recently lost a loved one and lots of strange or should I say unusual occurences have been happening. I have tried to get a connection with my loved one through several mediums and noone seems to be able to connect. I have been told that he is possibly "stuck" in the astral plane. I'm not sure that I really understand that. Could I please get some insight on the astral plane, existance in the plane or anything that can help me in my search for knowledge.

A very warm welcome to the forums. I am sharing some practicals here with you in Light of your Heart sensed question.

In Adrian's book 'Our Ultimate Reality', I am sharing specifics while the whole book is worth an entire reading.

Chapter 34 is on the Astral Body, Chapter 38 is on the The Planes of the Non-Human Mind and on through to Chapter 45.


I can only share from the fruits of my own consciousness with others and I wish to share that all these things are taking place from within.

When we have 'lost' a Loved One, they return to their Source of Life within us. We never really lose them, we carry them within us wherever we go. I do understand the process of grieving until this experience is healed and we are returned to our Original State of Being, our connection with everyone and everything. ONE.

Dear Diane

I will share a story with you, that my Mom told me.

Long time ago, before I was born my Mom lost her sister. She died quite young due to tuberculosis.  Her baby also died. And for the longest time my Mom being a young girls at the time could not find peace and would grieve, and cry and not accept the loss. It was just too precious. She was mourning so terribly and she was in great pain. Not being able to sleep at night, wandering aimlessly with tears in her eyes, and she was getting in a very unhealthy state.
One night my Mom had a lucid dream and it was very real. My Mom’s sister appeared and she was as real as any person can be (to my Mom) and she appeared to be very angry and upset at my Mom, and told her:
 “- would you please leave me alone?!?!! I am happy where I am, I am unbelievably happy and I am busy and I have so many things to do and You!! You and all this  crying and sobbing are not letting me be and do what I have to do – you insist in bringing me back in this world, when I’m finally at peace and in this wonderful place.
Just please have a life and do what you are supposed to do, we have absolutely nothing in common anymore. You will meet me when the time comes for you. Just leave me alone please, do not call me anymore because you are disturbing my peace.” And it went further telling my Mom on how she met her aunt and friends and she described a bit the place where she was  and also told her that if she continues to do this then when my Mom dies they won’t meet because my Mom would go to another place…
- so anyway
After that dream my Mom recovered  and went on with her life, had 3 girls, the last one being me and here I am the to tell you this story. 

Let the dead one rest in peace and be with the live ones and continue with the mission that you come here in this world for. Just as a side note – in Transylvania where I am from is bad, bad, omen to call up dead people. Everyone knows this even the small children. I can’t even tell you what happens to those that do this.

For your own sake please don’t do it anymore. Let your loved one continue on the journey and you on yours.

Hi There,

My understanding of the Astral Plane is that it is actually where most people go upon physical death as it is the plane that most resembles earth.  I would suggest that if mediums cannot connect to your loved one it may be just that thay arehappy and busy where they are, which is a good thing right?! Or maybe they believe it is not beneficial for you for them to talk to them, or maybe they have nothing to say! Maybe they managed to say all that they needed to before they passed.  I think you can be assured that thay are well and safe.

I recently gave a talk at my grandads funeral here is a small section of what I said:

We all have friends and family that are far away but just knowing that they are there if you need them is of great comfort and re-assurance, but death is just the same as this.  It isn’t an end it is just a distance.  And you may say ‘yeah but you know you’ll see your friends again’ but it is the same here he hasn’t disappeared, we just can’t see him, but we will again one day.

There are 3 things that people commonly say when someone dies, the 1st is that there were so many things that they wanted to say but now they can’t. If you need to say something to him, do, he can hear you, you just can’t see his response


The 2nd is ‘what will I do without him’ but if you need him he is always here for you

If you need comfort from him, he will give it, you just won’t be able to feel it as directly as before.

If you need his advice, he will give it, it just maybe harder for you to hear him

If you need to lean on his strength, he will provide it for you, it will just be in a different way to what you are used to.

And if you feel, see and hear nothing don’t think that he is ignoring you he just trusts that you are doing the right thing.

The last thing people commonly say is ‘he is missing out on everything’ but his missing out on nothing, he is with us every day, feeling our pain, sharing our happiness, proud of our achievements even laughing at our jokes. Today is a sad day, but not for what we have lost, as he is not lost, but for what we will miss but although we cannot enjoy the presence of him in our lives, he can still enjoy the presence of us in his and this is the most important thing.  We can be sad today for us but we should not be sad today for him.

I hope this makes some sense to you and makes you realise that you dont need to make contact with them via a medium to be close to them, as they will always be close and will always be there if you need them or request their help.  Listen to intuition and remember your dreams as they are all ways of spirit trying to make contact with us.

       Thank you. I realize when someone asks a question and includes the fact that someone hass passed away, the first thought is grief. Although I grieve, the worst of my grief has passed. Do I miss him and hate that he is physically gone? Yes, absolutely, everyday. I know he hears me, I know he is here. I feel him and to be honest I have literally felt him. Without going into personal details, this passing has had alot of controversy. My guides have told me to follow my gut and that is do not except things as they are. It is a gnawing in my stomach that won't go away. I believe that is why he continues to be here with me. So, with that, I'm just questioning as to wheter someone can get "stuck" or choose to stay in a plane other than where they should be.

Hi There,

Apologies for my missunderstanding, I didn't think that you were in a lot of grief but I thought you felt that you couldn't contact him in anyway and wanted to let you know that there are other ways of contacting them. yes I believe that they can get stuck this is what we call 'ghosts' but they are not in the Astral they are still on Earth it is usually when they have a strong tie and cannot let go either they were not ready to go i.e. their death was very sudden or they feel like they cannot leave the people they were close to here on earth, or maybe they were very materialistic and cannot bare to leave all of what they had materally.

It sounds to me that you are actually very close to him, do you talk to him?  Tell him to go and in your dreams or as you are going to sleep tell him in your mind and imagine him going into the Astral and what a wonderful place it is. Let him know that you see/feel him and that you are OK so that he doesn't have to wory about you. Does he have any family that have passed? Try to talk/make contact to them (as above not through a medium)to tell them to come and get him.

It may be that he is in the Astral but is just close to you as well, therefore not 'stuck' but just coming to visit you as spirits can travel to lower planes very easily.

What I was trying to tell you earlier is that by all means you should understand and learn everything that is involved, because there is this innate urge for us that we really need to know. And our need is perfectly justified. I am more at rest now that I know that your grief period had gone, however I would have hated you to be subjected, and your powerful loving force exploited and at the whims of those that pretend they can help you but only doing something negative to you and also to the one you love and lives now as a spirit.
Tessa sounds like a very grounded person and her advice is just excellent. So, is a good idea to read and try to understand as much as possible about this all structure of the Universe we live in.
I am very glad that you happen upon Adrian's web-site, I remember myself when I first read about the subject at hand being really confused at first ..then in time it all comes together and things make sense in a way you would have never imagined before.
(Adrian's book is very good and he also touches this area in many newsletters - Julia ?? a bit of help here with some links... please )


It looks as you had a fabulous connection,... I cannot tell you on how well I understand loosing someone you love so much, and agonizing over the fact that you don't have his physical presence. I understand and feel for your anger and all related emotions ... - very much indeed...

However when we come to live in a place of love and 'think' about others before us there are some questionings that is useful to go through.
If you have died first, what would it have been for him?
Incredibly difficult? ... I bet..
How strong love is?
How strong your love is?
By him dying first... he has been spared of the suffering you are going through. But, now you have to pay the price by surviving and mourning him.
The 'presence' that you feel is there because he knows all this and he is there and will be with you as long as it takes for you to get through it.
Grief is the price we pay for love, in situations such as the one you go through. What is the meaning of your grief Diane? You are the only one that can answer that question.

You are going to go and get through this, I know you are!!
and when you will you will, you will find yourself to be a much stronger person. And you are here right now because you still have a mission to fulfill in this physical world. A mission on which you have to do it on your own (he left you just for this).
The good news is that whatever you are living right now is nothing but a brief moment. We continue as spirits in eternity.
And what is this lifetime compared to eternity? Very short indeed - so perhaps is useful to make the most of whatever is left...

God Laura! Thanks! Look through Adrian's newsletters. I am still 'dusting off the ashes' in this department. Trust me.

Do children think of dusting? Well, I certainly didn't. I didn't even know what it was!!

So I have quite a few  (as in quite a few) just hanging in the 'to file' folder and I just haven't done it yet.


That shared, I highly recommend reading Adrian's book all the way through from beginning to ending into beginning... alright I will stop gypsy fashioning.


Adrian has shared the growth process of his Enlightening Experience and is opening this door to all. And in return Adrian is Being Blessed here also. 

Read the Book! He builds upon the Principles. Adrian is an engineer or architect. Like we all are in different ways. Go back to the Tower of Babbel.

If I am building a house, I would not skip one step in the building process. I want a structure that I can count on to weather all seasons of Life.

When I cut corners or take short cuts, mhmmm....it comes crashing down because I weakened my support. Don't leave Anyone or Anything out in your definition of what LOVE means to you via SOURCE.

       Thank you so much for confirming what I wasn't sure of. I talk to him all the time. I feel like his presence is almost a nightly thing.


      Negativity is all about fear, weakness and understanding that fear. Yes, I have had mischevious spirit come to me in dreams. I have to believe in myself and not others. I have enough common sense to analyze what I recieve. My beliefs as far as afterlife is pretty much in line with what is presented here on this site. I have not studied these beliefs. I was not taught these beliefs. It is a knowing that I have had since I was a young child. Where did this belief come from? Within. I believe everything that is to be known is within one. The problem is the timing and the ability to access ones within. I believe everything that happens has been so for a reason. When the time is right you will recieve the information and knowledge you need.

Lots of people tend to believe that mediums are of evil. I get the feeling that possibly that is your beliefs. I respect your beliefs for you. I don't trust all people, the trust I have is with myself. I have never consulted with a medium that was not of God. at the same time, beliefs, regardless of what they are is what evolves you. That is my belief. you do not have to believe the same way and I still respect you for your own being. 


Julia, I will get the book and read it. Don't put yourself out by searching for articles. I live in a small community and none of the bookstores carry it. I will get around to ordering it soon. so Thank you very much for the info.

I truly InJoyed reading your response here. I agree you must Trust yourself and your Higher Self's leading.

I always Ask for Divine Wisdom and Discernment that leads to Spiritual Understanding before I do anything. I do this first thing in the morning as I rise out of sleep. Less fuss for your sister here. All I am Asked to do is just show up.

It is not any issue of being put out. Truth. I InJoy sharing whatever. Your sister here is surrounded by computer 'geniuses' and while I am open to the stream, when it comes to computers, well, let's just call it a trip and a stumble for yours truly! I am blessed by Being surrounded by such a wonderful support in this area. They in knowing me, I sense are doing the same thing when I say, "Help Please!!" They smile and  All I can do is laugh at myself too and say Thank You!!
