The other night I started projection exercises I have a cold and could not concentrate well enough. I stopped my exercises. I rolled over and went to "Sleep". Began "dreaming" I could fly. Never felt like this before. Full body sensations of flying. All senses in tact. People looking up applauding. I was in a building flying around. I gave someone a high 5  while coming down. Lasted roughly 1 minute. Seemed realer than real.

Greetings Vibra,

Beautiful feeling -isn't it?
Your consciousness doesn't care you have a cold, so it took your OBE without any effort or strain to your body. I have found the feelings within a lucid dream or OBE is the goal of the experience. It is the feeling we are seeking to stay within.

Hello,

I´m new to the forum..and I have a question I´m hoping you could help me with, I see this post is very old, but hopefully someone will see my reply Smiley

You mentioned that you started doing your projection exercises...What exercises are these? Is there any reading you can recommend about this, where I can learn more about what exercises to do and such? I have been meditating more frequently for the past few months and have all kinds of new experiences, but I would really love to learn more about AP...

Thanks alot in advance,
Mia

Hi there,

Adrian in his book 'Our Ultimate Reality' has several AP techniques for you to try.  Also try the Astral Pulse forum which is more around this subject.

Hope this helps

Adrian's book is a great introduction and has a few techniques I use every time I attempt AP. There are several steps to AP. I found a good book that walks you through the whole process in a daily format is Mastering Astral Projection. I bought mine at a very large book store chain in the USA.
Hope this helps

When I have a Lucid dream it doesn't last long at all. I fade back into unconsciousness. I can remember making choices and having thoughts but most of the time they aren't really what I would do.

I however did have a dream last night. I was walking down the back yard when I remember a thought exercise. I said to myself, think of yourself as who you want to be. So I tried to feel and imagine my body how I wanted it. I quickly forgot about this then turned around to see my neighbor. She called my name and invited me over. So she obviously still recognized me!

I seem to be at the same level as Wave in this lucid dreaming...
I can have dreams that I know are totally real... at the time.

Then i turn into the chinese and the butterfly story where I dont know which I am... grin
... then I wake up, trying to remember what is what reality.

I am concentrating on this 'reality' for now. If we are already all One, then I dont think I actually need to concentrate on other powers, unless of course I feel I do, which I dont at the moment.

I will just wait and see what happens... trust in the now.

I know what you mean Freedom. I don't really feel like myself in my dreams. I don't even know where I am. Its hard to remember after I wake up. Its all good however. I'll Astral Project when I am ready.

Keep Concentrating Freedom.

Hi Freedom and Wave,

Do you guys use dream journals?  They are excellent for increasing dream recall.  The more you keep a journal the more dreams you can remember having throughout the night.  Keeping a journal also increases lucidity over time.  On average it usually only takes about 2 weeks of recording your dreams before you start enjoying and recalling LD's/AP's/OBE's.

Here's an excellent website where you can record your dreams: http://www.dreamjournal.net  They also have tools where you can analyze and interpret your dreams as well as learning what the symbols in your dream could mean.

Dream Journal? I've heard good things about them. As long as you write you can remember more and more. Stop writing and your dreams elude you once more. I tried that before but it was a pain in the ass so I stopped after 3 little pages. It was a little note book.

Peace and Light

simply value your experience without labeling it.

you could call lucid dreaming  " a sensation of fancy "

and then people that didn't know what that meant would have one and say "i want to have a sensation of fancy!" but they'd already be there without knowing it.
